by International Society of Arboriculture


CHAMPAIGN, Ill (July 2011) – Carl Mellinger, an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist Consultant and owner of Mellinger Tree and Landscape Service in Pacific Palisades, California, has been recognized as an ISA “True Professional of Arboriculture”.

The True Professional recognition program honors arborists and tree care professionals for their positive impact in and around their communities. ISA President Tim Gamma paid tribute to Mellinger at a ceremony on Monday, July 25 in Sydney, Australia as part of the ISA Annual Conference and Trade Show, held July 23—27, 2011.

Meet Carl Mellinger

Lifelong Palisadian Carl Mellinger founded his own business in 1983 after he noticed "a lack of proper tree care locally." He is a certified and consulting arborist and a member of the ASCA (American Society of Consulting Arborists). He has a staff of ten, including crew members who frequently attend seminars and workshops to hone and advance their craft.

"I specialize in cutting-edge arboriculture with a hands-on approach," Mellinger says. "Some of my crew members have been with us since 1985, and we're committed to providing service following the ANSI (American National Standards Institute) guidelines for pruning and safety. For example, we won't top trees since this can permanently harm or destroy them."

In addition to offering complete tree-care services, Carl Mellinger is a consultant in disease and pest diagnosis, tree preservation during construction, report writing and appraisals, and he serves as an expert witness..

Carl Mellinger is a Licensed CA landscape contractor (#728538), Certified Arborist (WCISA member/past president CH-00183), Tree Risk Assessor ( #1365), and an ASCA member (American Society of Consulting Arborist).
