Cataract Awareness”
This month’s topic is Cataract Aware-
ness. Most cataracts are related to ag-
ing. Cataracts are very common in older
people. By age 80, more than half of
all Americans either have a cataract or
have had cataract surgery. R.N. Peggy
McDonald will be in The Large Card
Room at 10:30 a.m. to give us valuable
information on this important topic.

Music in The Lobby with
Sisters”
Gail Mathewson and Sue Frazier are
not only real life sisters; they formed a
group called “Sisters.” They performed
special music in church as children
and were part of a gospel trio called
The Harmonettes”, who performed
with groups like the Blackwood Broth-
ers. As teenagers they were singers in
‘60’
s rock ‘n roll and country garage
bands. In 1965 they won third place in
the Mid-South Youth Talent Contest.
Both are members of the Germantown
Chorus, perform in Community The-
atre Broadway Musical Productions
and sing on recordings. They sing Old-
ies from 1940’s-1970’s including Big
Band, Jazz, Country, Rock ‘n Roll, and
Gospel. They will be performing for us
at 6:00 p.m. in the Lobby.
