We can celebrate February by
welcoming in the Chinese Lunar New Year
4710 -
theYear of the Snake. Unlike western
calendars, the Chinese calendar has names
that are repeated every 60 years. 2013 is the
year of the Gray Snake. It is a water snake.
The Chinese New Year, 2013, is expected
to usher in business prosperity. As we
transition into the Year of the Snake, times
will be steady, unlike the previous Dragon
Year.
One of the characteristics of the Snake
is extreme determination to get things done
regardless of circumstances . The earthly
sign of “water” allows the grey snake to overcome obstacles, as water
can eventually move around, over or under anything in its path. Water
adds the power to swim through any crisis. It almost appears that the
Chinese predicted the “fiscal cliff”.
Some of the more famous people born under the Snake are Oprah
Winfrey, Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King. The Snake’s lucky
colors are red and black. If you were born in 1918 you are a Purple
Snake, and if you were born in 1930 you are a Gold Snake. A Gray
Snake is more empathetic, emotional, and appreciative of beauty, peace,
fashion and the arts. In either case, this is your year to shine and be
blessed with good fortune.
In February we also celebrate Valentine’s Day. If you have not
bought your Valentine cards, you still have time to do so in the Blossom
Shop. Valentine’s Day is a time to celebrate your one true love, and the
love you have for friends and family. Also, it is one of the few days
when you can eat all the chocolate candy you want to, and no one will
say anything about it!
Wishing you happiness, prosperity, and a Happy Valentine’s Day.

February Birthdays
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Are You Lucky?
According to the Chinese
Zodiac, the Year of 2013 is the
Year of the Snake, which begins
on February 10, 2013 and ends on
January 30, 2014. The Snake, also
called Junior Dragon, is the sixth
sign of the Chinese Zodiac, which
consists of 12 Animal Signs.
The Snake is the most
enigmatic, intuitive, introspective,
refined and collected of all the
Animals Signs. Ancient Chinese
wisdom says a Snake in the house
is a good omen because it means
that your family will not starve.
People born in the Year of
the Snake are keen and cunning,
quite intelligent and wise. They
are great mediators and good at
business. Therefore, you should
have good luck if you were born in
the Year of the Snake.
