EVERYONE
H
ave you ever pondered the
point of exercising as you
age? Have you ever been
curious of the benefits to exercis-
ing after the age of 50? If you have,
or maybe even have not, please get
excited to hear all about exercise!
S
eniors are actually the fast-
est growing segment of our
population. Demographics
predict that the number of persons
65
and older will increase to 69
million by the year 2030. With this
being known, our communities are
slowly starting to put a big empha-
sis on overall health; this includes
exercise. In the past, communities
did not place exercise on the top
of the priority list. Over the years,
an immense amount of research
and studies have been done on the
benefits of exercise. Time and time
again, they have proven that being
physically active (at ANY and ALL
ages) ensures one to live a longer,
healthier, and happier life.
I
f we become a more physically
active community, this will al-
low many individuals to live
independently for a longer period
of time than many are able to now.
Please join us at 10:30 am on Mon-
day, February 9th in the Large Card
Room to hear more about the ben-
efits of exercise and also to learn
the different types of exercise.
