Crusade for Christ
Day One
January 14-16, 2014, Kirby Pines will
host its annual Crusade for Christ in the
Performing Arts Center, 6:30 PM each
evening. The theme for this year’s spiri-
tual event is “Forever Praising the Lord.”

Memphis Symphony Orchestra
A Tribute To Elvis”
Hold on to your Blue Suede shoes for a
thrilling evening of music at the Canon
Center for Performing Arts, celebrat-
ing the birthday of one of the greatest
musical icons - Elvis Presley. The Mem-
phis Symphony Orchestra will perform
chart-topping hits that remind you why
Elvis is and always will be the King of
Rock ‘n’ Roll. Call the box office for tick-
ets at 537-2525. Sign up in Transporta-
tion, the bus will be leaving at 6:00 pm

Take Note
Join us in The PAC at 6:30pm on Tues-
day, January 13. Take Note is a group of
talented ladies who sing acapella. They
will present a variety of songs we will

Bereavement
Support Group
Kirby Pines will now be offering a Be-
reavement Support group for those of
our residents who have lost a loved. La-
mar Frizzell will lead the Bereavement
Support Group to serve people in gain-
ing perspective about their losses and
support them in regaining a healthy
quality of life. The group meets the 3rd
Monday of every month at 10:00 am in
the Ante Room.

Crusade for Christ
Day Two
Tonight’s speaker for the Crusade for
Christ event at 6:30 PM in the Perform-
ing Arts Center is Dr. Maxie Dunnam,
pastor emeritus of Christ United Meth-
odist Church, will bring the message.
While Senior Pastor of Christ Church
he widely impacted many with his ra-
dio and TV “Perceptions,” powerfully
focused answers to many pressing is-
sues of today. He currently co-anchors
the weekly television program of Christ
Church. His dynamic presentations are
always challenging and inspiring.

Crusade for Christ
Day Three
Rev. Scott Martin will be our featured
speaker for this final evening of Cru-
sade for Christ. Scott has a unique proj-
ect ministry in Jerusalem based out of
Televiv. Scott led in similar outreach
in India for ten years. He will bring a
vital and fresh outlook to what is now
happening in the Middle East. Scott’s
father, Frank Martin, served as a for-
mer senior pastor of First Assembly Of
God church in Memphis. Rev. War-
ren Grant’s daughters, Jeanie Hamilton
and Candy McEwan will provide special
music for the service.

The National Parks Series
The Scripture of Nature”
In 1851, a band of Indian fighters in
California encounters a place of aston-
ishing beauty, setting in motion the
events that bring other newcomers to
Yosemite Valley. An exploration con-
firms the rumors, and in 1872 Congress
creates the world’s first national park at
Yellowstone, but does nothing to pro-
vide for its protection. In 1886, General
Phil Sheridan and the U.S. Cavalry ride
to the park’s rescue. Will be played in
The Movie Theater at 1:30 & 6:30pm.
