A biochemist and his wife arrive in
Berlin for a conference at which a
scientist and his controversial Arab
funder will announce breakthrough
research. While his wife checks into
the hotel, he grabs a cab to return to the
airport for his briefcase, left at the curb.
En route, an auto accident puts him in
a coma, from which he awakes four
days later without identification and
with gaps in his memory. He goes to
the hotel: his wife refuses to recognize
him and another man has claimed his
identity. With help from a nurse, the
cab driver, a retired Stasi agent, and
an academic friend, he tries to unravel
what’s going on. Is the answer in the
briefcase?

Lieutenant Rip Crandall is hoodwinked
into taking command of the “Wackiest
Ship in the Navy” - a real garbage scow
with a crew of misfits who don’t know
a jib from a jigger. What none of them
knows, including Crandall, is that this
ship has a very important top-secret
mission to complete in waters patrolled
by the Japanese fleet. Their mission will
save hundreds of allied lives - if only
they can get there in one piece.

Scotty Smalls moves to a new
neighborhoodwithhismomandstepdad,
and wants to learn to play baseball. The
neighborhood baseball guru Rodriquez
takes Smalls under his wing, and soon
he’s part of the local baseball buddies.
They fall into adventures involving
baseball, treehouse sleep-ins, the
desirous lifeguard at the local pool, the
snooty rival ball team, and the travelling
fair. Beyond the fence at the back of the
sandlot menaces a legendary ball-eating
dog called The Beast, and the kids
inevitably must deal with him.

The thirteen dwarfs commanded by
Thorin, the burglar Bilbo Baggins and
the wizard Gandalf travel to Lonely
Mountain to steal the Arkenstone from
the dragon Smaug to join the dwarves.
During their dangerous journey, they
need to fight against giant spiders and
Orcs and they are captured but flee
from the Elves. But Smaug is not easily
deceived and flies to Lake-town to
destroy the town and the dwellers.

The Glenn Miller Story traces Miller’s
rise from pit-orchestra trombone player
to leader of the most successful big
band of his era. June Allyson is on hand
as Miller’s wife, Helen, who learns the
value of patience when Glenn spends
his wedding night jamming with Gene
Krupa and Louis Armstrong. Given an
officer’s commission during World War
II, Miller helms the swingin’est military
band ever heard. In December of 1944,
a plane carrying Miller disappears
while flying over the English Channel.
In memoriam, radio stations all over the
world suspend their regular broadcasts
to play such Miller standards as
Moonlight Serenade,” “Chattanooga
Choo Choo,” and “Little Brown Jug.”
