They were married in 1980 and lived at Candlewood Lakes community in Saulsbury, TN where Donn built their home and they enjoyed gardening, antiques and raising dogs. Donn is the proud father of one daughter, Nikki Schroeder, RCA’s Marketing Consultant who many residents at Kirby Pines already know and love. Tammy has one daughter, one son (deceased), 2 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Donn was born in Milwaukee, WI and grew up across the street from a horse farm, where he became quite an experi- enced rider. He played the saxophone and graduated from Lawrence University’s Conservatory of Music with a minor in economics. Donn served in the US Army as SP4 and was a 5th Army Bandsman. Tammy was born in Medina, TN. She has always been fond of the outdoors, fishing and camping. He and Tammy met at First Tennessee bank where they both worked. He was an operations manager and broker for 19 years and she retired as Executive Director of Corporate Affairs after 35 years of employment there. Donn and Tammy both enjoy traveling and have visited Ger- many, Italy, Canada, France, England, Switzerland, Austria, China, Mexico, Equador, Costa Rica and Thailand. Their fa- vorite was China! They both love Christmas and their favorite foods are Louisiana chicken with roux and sweet potatoes and greens. Tammy’s proudest accomplishment is when she was “saved” at age 15 and Donn’s is directing the Church Choir. Donn can be found daily praying with fellow residents in the medical areas. He and Tammy love family gatherings and they stay ac- tive by walking their dog, Jake, and working out in the Oasis. Donn is gregarious and has a big beautiful smile and Tammy is known as fun-loving and outdoorsy. Give them a warm Kirby Pines welcome! Tammy & Donn Sch r oede r Ma l l oy K l i ne We are elated to have Malloy Kline as a new resident of Kir- by Pines Retirement Community. She is looking forward to making new friends. Being a lifelong Memphian, she prob- ably knows some of the residents already. Malloy received her BA degree from Siena College in 1962. She has been a social worker for the state of Tennessee in the Department of Human Services for 35 years. Being very active in her parish church, Malloy is proud to serve as the Sacristan. Malloy has enjoyed going on several cruises and traveled to Hawaii and Acapulco. Her friends describe Malloy as helpful and kind. She likes to celebrate holidays with her friends especially if they serve barbecue or seafood. Malloy sounds like a good fit for Kirby Pines Retirement Community. We need to involve her in our enhancement ac- tivities. She would certainly enjoy some of our volunteer opportunities. We are so happy to have you here at Kirby Pines, Malloy. Welcome! . .
