Adele, an emotionally shaky single
mom and her son, Henry, shop for
clothes he will wear when he begins
seventh grade after the long Labor Day
weekend. During their trip the boy is
accosted by Frank, an escaped convict
with a bleeding wound on his stomach.
Frank manipulates Adele into letting
him hide out at their house, and soon
the seemingly scary man shows a strong
domestic side and, in just a few days,
develops a deep bond with both Adele
and Henry.

When an attorney tracks down David, an
aging slacker and former sperm donor,
and reveals that he is the biological
father of 533 children, and that 142 of
them have filed a lawsuit to learn his
true identity, he panics, recruiting his
lawyer friend Brett to defend the privacy
agreements he signed at the clinic.
When Brett returns with an envelope
containing profiles of all 142 children
named in the lawsuit, however, David
can’t help but look, and before long
he’s surreptitiously injecting himself
into the lives of his unsuspecting
offspring. Meanwhile, as he begins to
grow excited at the prospect of having
his own child, he finds that sometimes
the best fathers are the men who seem
the least fit for parenting.

Chris wants to plunder the wreckage.

alone. The only survivor is a Hindu girl
who Chris wants to kill. Zachary fights
him off. While Chris steals from the
dead passengers, Zachary prepares a
sled to take the girl down the mountain.

engineer unjustly fired by his boss.

Ron Richardson. This leaves Jack at
home doing the housework and taking
care of the kids, which he discovers is
a lot more complicated than he ever
imagined. Moving from breadwinner
to househusband doesn’t do much
for his self-esteem, and he bides his
time playing poker for coupons with
a gaggle of neighborhood housewifes
and pondering infidelity with dedicated
homewrecker Joan.

he must do so, it all starts to get a bit
