Kirby Pines Retirement Community | The Pinecone

• 2 • The Pinecone | October 2018 ON THE PINECONE COVER After celebrating our thirty-fifth anniversary in grand style last month, and our twelfth consecutive winning of the Memphis Most Award for the Best Retirement Community, it is time to reflect on why Kirby Pines is continually selected the Memphis retirement community of choice, and to think about what is ahead that will keep us the best in Memphis. We will start the month off with a huge city wide celebration of our 12th Memphis Most win, on Wednesday, October 3rd from 11 am to 1 pm with great food, fun prizes and fabulous entertainment. Be certain to invite some friends who have not yet made their decision to move into Memphis’ Most award winning retirement community! Then on Tuesday, October 16th between 4 and 6 pm you can enjoy the beautiful grounds as we once again hold a Fall Festival complete with Hot Air Balloon rides. This is a very popular festival and one in which you might be able to check off one of “your bucket list” wishes by enjoying an aerial view of the campus in a hot air balloon. If great food is more to your liking, be certain to sign up early for this month’s Much to Look Forward to a t K i r b y P i n e s Michael Escamilla, Executive Director, Kirby Pines Kirby Pines IS the Memphis Most! After celebrating our 35th Anniversary all last month, why wouldn’t the #1 Retirement Community in Memphis keep the momentum going? And that’s exactly what we’re going to do! Once again, Kirby Pines has been voted the Memphis Most by the readers of The Commercial Appeal newspaper. Since we already know why we’re number one year after year, perhaps you should come check us out. October is a perfect time to come visit our community. We start things off with our Memphis Most Celebration on the 3rd, which leads into our Fall Festival on the 16th, rounding things out with an Oktoberfest Dance on the 23rd. As you can see by this month’s cover, Kirby Pines is more than just the #1 Retirement Community, Kirby Pines is one big happy Family.
