Poetry Group
The First Monday Poetry Group meets
in the Chapel on Monday, September

nd at 10:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome.
Come to listen; come to read; come to
recite from memory. Share a favorite
verse or two as others share their verse
with you. Every first Monday at 10:00
a.m. all poetry lovers have a spot. Check
out The Poet’s Corner on the post office
bulletin board. A residential poet will be
featured each month.

revue evoking memories through songs

Delta Fair
Delta Fair & Music Festival loves Se-
nior Americans! Come join us for a
great day at the Fair. Starting with a
Talent Contest at 11:30, followed by
The Annual Tea Dance (featuring the
Jim Mahannah Band) from 1-3, along
with Rides, Concessions, the Delta Fair
Livestock show, Crafts and Culinary
Exhibits. The bus will leave at 11:00
AM. Sign up in Transportation.

Performing Arts Center
Shuffle on up to the PAC and have some
fun playing shuffleboard! Relieve stress
by getting your mind off of things, so-
cialize and engage in some friendly com-
petition. Shuffleboard will be held every
Wednesday in the PAC at 10:00 a.m. &
every Saturday in the PAC at 4 p.m.

er classes every Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
in the Library Computer Room. There
is no need to sign up in advance, just
show up and learn new skills or polish
up the old ones. Time for a Skype date
with out-of-town family and friends!

Broadway Returns”
A Musical Performance
Come to see a fantastic musical per-
formance of “Broadway Returns” at
Covenant United Methodist Church on
Sunday, September 8th, with the bus
leaving Kirby Pines at 5:45 pm. Tick-
ets are $12.00, with proceeds from the
performance going towards supporting
the church’s choral and orchestral stu-
dent ministries. The performance will
feature musical medleys from Disney
on Stage, musical highlights from Give
Our Regards to Broadway and Seussi-

ternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the Large Card
Room. No skill required. It’s new and
it’s FUN! NEWS FLASH: You can now
play Wii with friends or your grandkids
any time in the Large Card Room! It is
set up on the tv; all you have to do is
check out the remotes from the Front
Desk and return them whenever your
game is over.
