Kirby Pines Retirement Community | The Pinecone

M a r y M o s b y Congratulations employee of the month Mary is one of our greatest assets. She is always on time and willing to do whatever it takes for her residents. It is because of her can-do attitude that she is one of the most highly requested members of the Caring In Place staff. Whether it is coming in early to assist a resident or staying late to fill a vacant shift, Mary can always be counted on to do a great job. - Tara Anthony, Director of Caring In Place • 8 • The Pinecone | December 2018 Kirby Pines residents and Retirement Companies of America, LLC have contributed a total of $9,381.00 to Samaritan’s Purse for “Operation Christmas Child.” This money will be used to purchase shoeboxes filled with Christmas gifts which will be distributed to children around the world in over 150 different countries. For many children, this will be the first Christmas gift they have ever received. Samaritan’s Purse is apart of theRev. FranklinGrahamministry located inBoone,NorthCarolina. This is the 4th consecutive year that Kirby Pines residents have participated. In September, a challenge was presented to our residents that we raise $7,000 to purchase 280 shoeboxes. Our residents gave so generously that we exceeded our goal by $2,381. With the amount raised this year, we will be able to purchase a total of 375 shoeboxes.
