Dec 4: The Help The Help An aspiring author during the civil rights movement of the 1960s de- cides to write a book detailing the Afri- can American maids’ point of view on the white families for which they work, and the hardships they go through on a daily basis. Showtimes are 1:30 pm & 6:30 pm in the Theatre. Dec 4: Ballroom Dancing Ballroomdancing is that perfect combina- tion of physical activity, social interaction, mental stimulation, and it’s FUN! Join us every Wednesday at 2:00 pm and Saturday at 2:30 pm in the PAC for a group class and ask us about private lessons. Dec 4: Bridge Group The Bridge Group meets every Wednes- day at 6:00 pm in the LCR and is open to all residents. Bring a partner and come join us. There is a sign-up binder in the hallway near the Bistro. Dec 5: Bible Study with Dave Phillips Join Germantown Church of Christ’s Dave Phillips as he leads a group Bible Study every Thursday at 10:00 am in the chapel. All denominations invited. Dec 5: Germantown Baptist Come out to the Lobby and join Germantown Baptist as they bring songs from the season. Performance begins at 10:30 am. Dec 5: Series: The Lincoln Lawyer Idealistic lawyer Mickey Haller runs his practice out of the back of his Lincoln Town Car, taking big and small cases across Los Angeles. Showtime is at 1:30 pm in the Theatre. Dec 6: Strength Training As we age, it is so important that we main- tain our strength in order to independent- ly care for ourselves and loved ones. Join us every Friday at 10:15 am in the PAC for our strengthening exercise class. Dec 6 & 20: Cornhole Club Come out and join us for our newest trending game, cornhole. Whether you’re new to playing, or an expert, everyone is welcome. Join us in the LCR at 10:30 am for a fun time. Dec 6: Yoga Stretch Gentle yoga can be very effective for se- niors in preventing or slowing down the loss of bone density, and relieving bone and joint pain. Come on out and join Ms. Kim every Friday at 10:45 am in the PAC. Dec 6: Art Opening Join us in the PAC at 2:00 pm to hear from our local artists here at Kirby, see their new work. Refreshments will be served throughout. Dec 6: Al Mahan Just a man and his guitar, Pastor Al Ma- han loves to entertain his audiences with classics, stories, and impersonations. He will have you laughing and your toes a tapping during his performance. Music begins in the PAC at 6:00 pm. Dec 7: Men’s Christian Fellowship The Men’s Christian Fellowship meets ev- ery Saturday morning at 8:00 am. Come enjoy coffee and fellowship with us each week. There is a rotating list of resident speakers who give a devotion at each meeting. All men are welcome and en- couraged to attend. Dec 8: Hymn Sing with Leon Please Join us in the Chapel for a resident led Hymn singing with Mr. Leon Sander- son. We will begin at 4:00 pm. Dec 8: Mullins Community Orchestra Holiday Show Come join us in the PAC for a holiday performance that you don’t want to miss. You will hear many of your favorite holi- day tunes. Show starts at 6:00 pm in the PAC with a fundraising reception to fol- low in the LCR. Dec 9: Collierville Christmas Lights Come hop on the bus with us! The travel- ers will be riding the bus through the Col- lierville Christmas Lights Tour. You will be able to enjoy hot chocolate beverages with topping of your choice in Lobby at 5:30 pm, prior to boarding the bus. Bus will depart at 6:00 pm. Transportation is $5. Sign up in Resident Programs. Dec 10 & 20: Afternoon Bridge Bridge will begin at 1:00 pm on Tuesday afternoons. If you would like to join come out to the LCR. Dec 10: The Man Who Invented Christmas The Man Who invented Christmas- The journey that led to Charle’s Dickens’ cre- ation of ‘A Christmas Carol’. Showtimes are 1:30 pm & 6:30 pm in the Theatre. Dec 10: Christmas Party Join everyone in the Grand Lobby and the dining room for one of our biggest parties of the year. Festivities are from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Dress in your holiday best and be ready for an evening of Christmas cheer and musical guest Henry Booker. Don’t forget to get your picture with Santa. Dec 11: Garden Gro'ers If you are a Garden Gro’er, we hope you will join us for our annual Christmas Par- ty at 10:30 am in the Ante Room. Dec 11: Holiday Jewelry Sale Come shopping with Sharon Leah designs by Sharon Martin and Simply Seed Beads by Jody Sosh. There is no better way to get those last-minute stocking stuffers with- out having to leave the building and wait in those holiday lines. The sale is from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm outside the PAC. Dec 11: Christmas Island When a snowstorm diverts Kate’s first pri- vate flight to Christmas Island, she must team up with an air traffic controller to secure her dream job as the family’s pilot. Showtimes are 1:30 pm & 6:30 pm in the Theatre. Dec 13: Southbound Offering old time bluegrass standards, classic country, and American pop stan- dards, Southbound aims to please their audiences. This quartet is sure to become one of your favorites. Music begins in the PAC at 6:00 pm. Dec 14: Marty Kocman & Liz Parsons Please join us in the PAC for a holiday concert performed by Kirby Pine’s own Marty Kocman and his accompanist Liz Parsons. Music will begin at 3:00 pm.
