The theme this month will be US and/or World Geography, however, trivia questions can be presented on any topic. Join us at 6:15 pm in the ante room. Dec 15: Marilynn Garzione Please join us in the Lobby at 1:00 pm to enjoy a musical Holiday Sing-A-Long performance by our very own Marilynn Garizone. This is an afternoon you don’t want to miss. Dec 16: Smith Jewelers Have any jewelry in need of repair? Come see Van Smith in the SCR on the 3rd Monday at 9:00 am. Dec 16: Tech Time Bring your phones, tablets, laptop whatev- er issue you have they will be glad to help. Cathy will be coming every 3rd Monday at 10:30 am in the Sunroom. Dec 16: European Travel Series Our travel documentary series of the histo- ries and sights of European Cities contin- ues featuring Europen Christmas. Show- time begins in the theatre at 1:30 pm. Dec 17: The Book Baggers Come to the chapel on Tuesday, Decem- ber 17, for our annual Christmas Party. As usual, there will be music, refreshments, as well as our annual book give-away. Come join us for our review of 2024 reads together, a time of holiday sing-along songs, and a time of selecting a book or two to take home to add to our personal collection of favorite books. 9:30 am. will be the time to begin our annual party. Dec 17: Line Dance Rehearsal The line dancers have been working hard to bring some spectacular dances to our neighbors in healthcare as well as some other programs. We will be opening up the dress rehearsal and inviting everyone to come and see the performance they have put together. Show starts at 1:30 pm in the PAC. Dec 17: Our Souls at Night A widow and widower who've lived next to each other for years. have almost no relationship, but that all changes when Addie tries to make a connection with her neighbor. Showtime is at 1:30 pm in the Theatre. Dec 17: KP Photo Club If you love our Photo Club page in the Pinecone, come join us at 3:00 pm in the LCR and learn to take better photos! Dec 17: Girls' Night Out Ladies, time for a night out. This month we will be showing the movie ‘Airplane!’ After the crew become sick with food poisoning, a neurotic ex-fighter pilot must safely land a commercial airplane full of passengers. Grab your popcorn and we’ll see you at the theater. Showtime is 6:30 pm. Dec 18: Caregiver Support Group Are you caring for a loved one? Our sup- port group meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month in the Small Card Room at 10:00 am. We find support as well as com- forting suggestions for unique problems. Caregiving is very difficult. Come be a part of our group. Dec 18: Christmas Parade Show your holiday spirit and spread com- munity cheer! Pull out your Christmas sweaters, wear your jingle bells, and put on your marching shoes to meet us in the lobby at 10:00 am. Help us parade and spread our Holiday cheer and joy all around Kirby. Children, dogs, and guests are encouraged to march with us. Don’t forget to decorate your carts. The parade will exit the lobby at 10:30 am. Dec 18: The Noel Diary The story of a man who returns home on Christmas to settle his estranged mother’s estate. Once there, he discovers a diary that may hold secrets to his own past and of a beautiful young woman on a myste- rious journey of her own. Showtimes are 1:30 pm & 6:30 pm in the Theatre. Dec 20: Elvis in the Manor Elvis is in the building! We are delighted to have Tim Johnson come and show us a Merry Christmas with the king himself. Prepare for the sounds and the moves in this electric performance beginning in the Kirby Pines Manor at 2:30 pm. Dec 20: The Gifts of Music The Theatre in the Pines group are proud to put on this year’s Holiday concert “The Gifts of Music”. Presented by the Enter- tainers Chorus directed by Joan Dodson, the Kirby Pines Rhythm Band led by Lau- ra Leuenberger, and the Kirby Pines the- atre troupe by Jan Thomson. Come enjoy a night of music and holiday cheer. The show will begin at 6:30 pm in the PAC, with concessions to follow. Dec 21: Matt Barber Experience Singing with a passionate, uplifting style reminiscent of Barry Manilow and Mi- chael Bublé, Matt Barber delivers songs we know and love with a sincere, mean- ingful approach you can feel in every song. Music begins in the PAC beginning at 6:00 pm. Dec 24: Miracle in Bethlehem Just before Christmas, Mary Ann adopts a baby girl to raise alone. She and the in- fant spend Christmas stuck in Bethlehem, PA, due to bad weather. Her only choice when the inn is full is to stay with Joe, the brother of the innkeeper. Showtimes are 1:30 pm & 6:30 pm in the Theatre. Dec 25: A Christmas Carol A bitter old miser who rationalizes his uncaring nature learns real compassion when three spirits visit him on Christmas Eve. Showtimes are 1:30 pm & 6:30 pm in the Theatre. Dec 27: Ensemble X Trio Kirby Pines is excited to welcome the String Trio Ensemble X. Graduates of the Rudi E Scheidt School of Music, these tal- ented musicians bring on a fresh take for classical to jazz to modern. Music begins at 6:00 pm in the PAC. Dec 31: New Year's Eve Intertwining stories promise love, hope, forgiveness, second chances and more for several New Yorkers on the celebrated night. Showtimes are 1:30 pm & 6:30 pm in the Theatre. Dec 31: New Year's Eve Dance Happy New Years Kirby Pines! Let’s ring in the new years with a night to remember with a new years dance with the music of the Jim Mahannah Band. Refreshments will be available. Doors open at 6:00 pm and the music will begin at 6:30.
