Shuffleboard in the
Performing Arts Center
Shuffle on up to the PAC and have some
fun playing shuffleboard! Relieve stress
by getting your mind off of things, so-
cialize and engage in some friendly
competition. Shuffleboard will be held
every Wednesday at 10:00 am and ev-
ery Saturday at 4:00 pm in the PAC.

Poetry Group
Come to listen; come to read; come to
recite from memory. Share a favorite
verse or two as others share their verse
with you. Everyone is welcome. Check
out “The Poet’s Corner” on the post of-
fice bulletin board where a residential
poet will be featured each month. The
group meets in the Ante Room every
first Monday at 10:00 am.

Super Bowl
Sunday!
Calling all Football Fans! Join us at 5:00
PM as we “kick off” our annual Kirby
Pines Super Bowl Party. The Denver
Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks face
off in an epic game. Kickoff is at 5:30
pm, so come watch it on the big screen
in the PAC where we will be serving
game grub and drinks you can enjoy as
you cheer on your favorite team.

Tai Chi
If you’re looking for a way to reduce
stress, consider tai chi (TIE-CHEE).
Originally developed for self-defense,
tai chi has evolved into a graceful form
of exercise that’s now used for stress
reduction and a variety of other health
conditions. Under the instruction of
Sheila Raye, Tai Chi meets in the Large
Card Room every Monday at 2:00 pm.

Choral Performance
Come to hear the High School chorus
of ECS as they put on a performance
for the residents of Kirby Pines. The
concert will start at 10:30 am in the Per-
forming Arts Center.

The Rhythm Band is back and ready to
present their first show of the year, en-
titled “Songs of the Heart”. This hearty
bunch will be playing at 6:30 pm in the
Performing Arts Center.

Calling all adventurous spirits! Let’s
get on the road again! Meet with the
Kirby Pines Travelers on Wednesday,

Begins a New Year!
The Ham-auteur Club will meet each
Wednesday, beginning February 5th at
1:00
pm in the Chapel. If you would
enjoy helping us entertain our residents,
come and join us. We need singers for
solos, duets and trios, musicians, stand-
up comedians, storytellers, actors for

Come join the fun every Wednesday af-
ternoon at 2:00 pm in the Large Card
Room. No skill required. It is set up on
the TV; all you have to do is check out
the remotes from the Front Desk and re-
turn them whenever your game is over.
