Donald and Ola Hobart
moved to Kirby from Olive
Branch, Mississippi. Ola was
born in Iuka and Donald in
Delia, Kansas. They have one
son, four daughters, seven
grand children and seven
great grand children.
Donald’s love for flying
helped him choose his career
as an air traffic controller for
the FAA from 1947 to 1980.
Ola worked as a secretary
for the FBI in Washington
D.C. and then for Louisville
and Nashville Railroad 29
years where she won various
awards.
They both have done their
share of traveling, Ola has
even been to all 48 states in
the continental US! They
both enjoy country and
western music. Donald likes
to garden, go fishing and
collect coins and Ola collects
figurines and likes to sew.
The Hobarts moved into
Kirby earlier in the year, so
you may already know them
by now, but if you don’t and
happen to see them, make
them feel at home and greet
them with a smile.

The Goldschmids are
native Tennesseans, James
born in Memphis and Betty
in Nashville. They have
been married 55 years, have
one daughter and so far are
very much enjoying their
retirement.
James practiced dentistry
for 40 years and Betty is a
retired school teacher. One of
life’s lessons they try to live
by is to always be yourself
and enjoy each day the best
you can.
Being from Memphis,
James’ grandfather worked
for the local newspaper, The
Commercial Appeal, for 50
plus years, and James still has
his Signet Ring of Service
that was passed down to him .
They have many hobbies
and interests, including
travel, golf, watching both
football and basketball on
TV, going to airplane shows,
the senior choir at Emmanuel
United Methodist Church
and painting churches on
wedding invitations.
Please welcome them to
Kirby Pines Estates!

Joe Adams was born in
Wren, Mississippi where his
Mother raised him and his
two brothers by herself while
working in a laundry facility.
He worked his way
through school at Mississippi

care of the campus grounds
until he got moved to the
library, where he met his
wife, Mary Elizabeth, who
passed away in 1996. They
had 3 children together.
Joe was drafted by the
Army, where he performed
physicals in Philadelphia,
while his wife taught school.
Upon his return, he joined her

Joe loves all kinds of
music and has always liked
to travel. He spent some time
running the pro shop at a golf
course and loves to play as
well. He very much likes to
read and enjoys taking walks
and is excited about using the
Oasis towork out. His favorite
television show is Late Night
with David Letterman, which
could explain why he also
likes to tell a good joke.

Mississippi for 4 years. Then
he decided to change careers
