The Ladies Interdenominational
Circle Meeting “The Uplifters”
The Uplifters Circle is a nondenomi-
national group of women dedicated to
missions, prayer and Bible study led
by Elsie Huffard. All are welcome, just
come to the Chapel at 2:00 pm to join
in fellowship with this wonderful group
of ladies every fourth Tuesday of the
month.

Pines beginning at 3:00 pm in the Per-
forming Arts Center. Enjoy a diverse

Church put on a performance for our
residents.

Episode 6
August 1940: Now relocated to England,
Hornet Squadron is involved in defend-
ing England from what are now daily
Luftwaffe bombing raids. On Septem-
ber 7, 1940 the Germans launched their
largest ever attack. The men of Hornet
Squadron perform brilliantly on what is
now considered to be the turning point
in the Battle of Britain. Will be shown
at 2:00 & 6:30 pm in the Movie Theater.

May 1940: With the German invasion in
full swing, Hornet squadron is down to
four aircraft. After one of several sorties,
they lose two of them. Air Commodore
Bletchley tells them there are no new
aircraft available and what’s left of the
squadron is to be relocated to England.
Will be shown at 2:00 & 6:30 pm in the
Movie Theater.

Support Group
Kirby Pines will now be offering a Be-
reavement Support group for those of
our residents who have lost a loved one.
Lamar Frizzell will lead the Bereave-
ment Support Group to serve people in
gaining perspective about their losses
and support them in regaining a healthy
quality of life. The group meets the 3rd
Monday of every month at 10:00 am in
the Ante Room.

Foylle’s War: Episode 1

The German Woman”
Set in the beautiful southern English
countryside amid the disorder and dan-
ger of World War II, Foyle’s War takes
place far from the glory of the front. His
is an ordinary struggle, against everyday
evil, in extraordinarily dangerous times.
When a beautiful Austrian woman is
found murdered with a swastika paint-
ed on a nearby tree, Foyle realizes the
seemingly peaceful Sussex town har-
bors any number of suspects. Will be
