Basic and Beginning Water Aerobics is on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9:30 am. Men’s Water Aerobics are held on Tues- days &Thursdays at 8:30 am. July 2: Focus on Color Coloring books are incredibly simple, portable, easy to pick up and put down, and a colored–in page takes up almost no space at all. July 2: Tai Chi Originally developed for self-defense, Tai Chi has evolved into a graceful form of ex- ercise that’s now used for stress reduction and a variety of other health conditions. July 3: Peach World Farmer’s Market Kirby Pines Farmers Market brought to you by Peach World will be back in the Lobby every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. I know we all can’t wait for those homegrown tomatoes, peaches, peas and other wonderful fresh produce. July 3: Rudy Rudy Ruettiger wants to play football at the University of Notre Dame, but has neither the money for tuition nor the grades to qualify for a scholarship. Show- times 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm in the Theater. July 4: Kirby Pines Annual 4th of July Parade Show your patriotism and community spirit! Don your red, white & blue, put on your marching shoes and meet us in the Lobby at 10:00 am, help us parade and spread our Patriotism and joy all around Kirby. Children, dogs and guests are en- couraged to march with us. The parade will exit the Lobby at 10:30 am. July 4: The Music Man When Harold Hill, a traveling con man, arrives in River City, he convinces the lo- cals to start a band by purchasing the uni- forms and instruments from him. His in- tention is to flee as soon as he receives the money. Librarian Marian Paroo suspects Harold is a fraud, but holds her tongue since her moody brother, Winthrop, is ex- cited about the band. Showtimes 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm in the Theater. July 4: Virtual Wii Bowling Come join the fun every Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 pm in the Large Card Room. No skill required. It is set up on the TV; all you have to do is check out the remotes from the Front Desk and return them whenever your game is over. July 5: Winds of War Part 3: Cataclysm Pug Henry accompanies American bank- er Luigi Gianelli on a diplomatic mission to Italy to see if Il Duce will meet with a peace envoy. Showtime 1:30 pm in the Theater. July 6: Art with Helen Whether you are already an artist or would like to learn, join teacher Helen Gaines on Fridays at 10:00 am in the Arts & Crafts Room. July 6: Mahjong with Jody Join Jody on Fridays at 10:00 am in the Ante to learn the ancient Chinese game of Mahjong. July 6: Music with The Whitings The Whitings have performed shows at festivals, performance arts centers, the- atres, amphitheatres and other venues in 14 states. They play a unique combination of high energy swing with scatting and singing in harmony and soulful blues-in- fluenced jazz ballads. Jamey’s prodigious piano performances and Tammy’s unique voice have gained respect everywhere they have played. Their band consists of female and male vocals, piano, drums and saxophone. Check out this dynamic duo at 6:00 pm in the Lobby. July 7: Men’s Christian Fellowship The Men’s Christian Fellowship meets ev- ery Saturday morning in the Ante Room at 7:30 am. There is a rotating list of resi- dent speakers who give a devotion at each meeting. Come enjoy coffee and fellow- ship with us each week.
