Please call 682-1529 for more information or to schedule a visit. July 11: Garden Club Meeting Put your trash in the trash pile at the south side of the garden. Rotton fruit goes in the Kroger bags that are in the bucket on pic- nic table. We are out of funds so please put your excess fruit on table in the sunroom for people. Residents are generous. Toma- toes are here, squash, peppers and onions are ready too. Prune tomatoes now. Cut tall branches off. Fertilizer will be spread soon, should last the season. Garden fab- ric for weed control is working well. Plan to use again next year. Patios News: Sev- eral report tomatoes already. Apply the remaining fertilizer from your bag now. Come on down to the Greenhouse every 2nd Wednesday of every month at 10:30 am rain or shine and dig in! July 11: Yoga Stretch Yoga is known to have a wide range of ben- efits. This is not advanced so don’t worry about getting on the floor and not being able to get up. You will be sitting in a chair or standing. Class is every Wednesday at 10:30 am in the PAC. July 11: Spanish Class Join Spanish Class every Wednesday at 1:30 pm in the Ante Room. Bridget is now dedication half of the class to new stu- dents and the second half to refresh and teach advanced folks. July 11: Mao’s Last Dance The ballet life of Li Cunxin begins when he 11, taken from his peasant family in rural China to train in Beijing, and he defects to the United States as a cultural exchange student as a young man. Showtimes 1:30 pm & 6:30 pm in the Movie Theater. July 12: Political Forum Your vote counts! We are hosting a po- litical forum in the PAC at 2:00 pm. All candidates will be given a brief opportu- nity to speak. You will be able to mix and mingle with the candidates at the recep- tion following. July 13: Music with The Beverly Brothers The Beverly Brothers perform harmony based songs ranging from classic country to classic rock and roll favorites. This 2 guitar duo always delivers a spirited, high energy show that invites and incites audi- ence participation. Join us in the Lobby at 6:00 pm. July 14 & 28: Trivia Night Come play trivia if you like to play just for fun, non-competitive. Meet the gang in the Lobby every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at 6:15 pm. July 14 & 28: Through the Bible Through the Bible is a study of the Bible led by Gail Kommer and Barbara Hyland, meeting the 2nd and 4th Saturday of ev- ery month at 10:00 am in the Small Card Room. Bring a Bible and notebook. Join this group of ladies who enjoy learning about God’s Word. All are welcome. July 15: Music with Johnny More Join us for some Johnny Cash and a va- riety of other with vocals and guitar of Johnny More. This will be his second time here and everyone really enjoyed him last time. Come on down to the Lobby at 6:00 pm. July 16: Tech Time with Cathy Cathy Anderson will be here on Monday July, 16th at 10:30 am in the Sunroom for Tech support. If you have questions or troubles with your cell phone, pad or lap- top just take them to the Sunroom and she will be there to assist you. July 16: Magnum PI: Compulsion A jealous co-worker disrupts Magnum’s probe of threatening events surrounding Carol’s parole-hearing testimony. Show- time 1:30 pm in the Theater. July 17: Travelers: Teapot Mu- seum & Lunch - Trenton, TN Hop on the bus for a scenic 2 hour drive via historic Brownsville to Trenton, TN. Resident Beverly Hassell will be our guide to view approximately 500 priceless, rare, beautiful antique teapots. This collection was originally intended for New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. There is no admission but donations are appreciated. We will have lunch at Good to the Last Drop. It is suggested that we pre-order lunch. July 17: Summer Dance with The Jim Mahannah Band Join us for an evening of music and dance at 6:30 pm in the PAC. July 18: Alzheimer’s Support Group If you’re interested in learning about Al- zheimer’s, you are a caregiver or have a loved one this disease, please give this group a try. We had a great meeting last month with Lara Pate from the Midsouth Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Starting in July she will be coming the 3rd Wednesday of the month so you can plan ahead. The meetings will take place at 10:00 am in the LCR.
