July 17: Travelers: National Civil Rights Museum Join the group to the Lorraine Motel, site of the assassination of the activist Martin Luther King. Meet in the Lobby at 9:15 am in the Lobby for a 9:30 am departure. We’ll see the exhibits that trace the history of the Civil Rights Movement in the U.S. from 17th century to present in the com- plex of museums and historic buildings. The cost of Admission is $12.00+$3.00 for the bus, you will also need money for lunch at Central BBQ. Sign up in Trans- portation at the front desk as soon as pos- sible. July 17: Alzheimer’s Support Group Are you caring for a loved one with Al- zheimers or dementia? Our support group meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month in the Ante Room at 10:00 am. July 17: CreativeAgingShowcase Ladies & Legends entertains audiences with strong vocal solos and harmonies as the group presents a mix of favorites from Broadway, movies and other hits. The pro- gram is followed by a complimentary re- ception. This will be a well-attended event so we need to make reservations early. Please sign up in Transportation. July 18: Antiques Roadshow Gary Piattoni, former Senior Vice at Christies’s International Auction House and an appraiser on PBS’s Antique Road- show, will be here to offer a verbal ap- praisal of nearly any single item of your choice (only one per household).
