There is a rotating list of resi- dent speakers who give a devotion at each meeting. Come enjoy coffee and fellow- ship with us each week. June 1: Acclamation Brass Our favorite brass band will be back to en- tertain us with an afternoon of music. Be sure and join them in the Lobby at 3:00 pm. June 3: Get Fit with Oasis Coordinator Mary Hand Advanced Water Aerobics classes will be held on Mondays & Wednesdays at 8:30 am. Basic and Beginning Water Aerobics is on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9:30 am. Men’s Water Aerobics are held on Tues- days &Thursdays at 8:30 am. Arthritis Sit/ Stand classes are on Tuesdays & Thurs- days at 11:00 am in the PAC. June 3: Focus on Color Coloring books are incredibly simple, portable, easy to pick up and put down, and a colored–in page takes up almost no space. So come to the Arts & Crafts Room the first and third Monday at 10:00 am. June 3: First Monday Poetry Group Come to listen; come to read; come to re- cite from memory. Check out “The Poet’s Corner” on the post office bulletin board where a residential poet will be featured. We meet the first Monday of every month in the Ante Room at 10:00 am. June 3: A Biblical Study of Heaven with Bob Barlow In this eight-week study, we will seek to answer over twenty commonly asked questions about Heaven. Bob looks for- ward to sharing the Scriptures about Heaven with you Every Monday at 10:00 am in the Chapel during June and July. June 3: Mahjong Join in and play Mahjong every Monday and Friday at 1:00 pm in the SCR. June 3: Magnum: Infinity and Jelly Doughnuts Magnum awakens from his coma, but friends and family do not believe he had an out-of-body experience. Showtime 1:30 pm. June 3: Game Play Group Like to play games? Bring your own to share or join in with someone already there! Meets in the LCR every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 1:30 pm. June 3: Tai Chi Originally developed for self-defense, Tai Chi has evolved into a graceful form of exercise. Every Monday in the PAC at 2:00 pm. June 3: Bingo Night Join us for a fun-filled evening of BINGO! Entry costs only $1 per card, with an op- portunity to win up to two prizes. Every Monday night at 6:30 pm in the PAC. June 4: Medical Director Dr. Mike Abutineh MD Will be in the Wellness Clinic Tuesdays 9:00 am -12:00 pm and Thursdays 1:00- 4:30 pm. Appointments required. June 4: Travelers: Tennessee Safari Park Join the gang for this fun trip to the Safa- ri Park in Alamo, TN, Tuesday June 4th. Tickets are $21.00 we will board Safari Park’s tour bus for a narrated tour, drop down windows so you can feed and have an up close personal wildlife Safari Expe- rience. Tour is approx... 45 minutes. We will visit the small petting zoo before re- turning home. Box lunches will be sup- plied for $4.75 (They will include sand- wich, chips, cookie and a canned drink or water.) Sign up in Transportation. We will depart at 9:30 am. June 4: BUNKO J oin this fun group of folks every Tuesday at 1:30 pm in the LCR for the great game of BUNKO. June 4: The Negotiator In a desperate attempt to prove his inno- cence, a skilled police negotiator accused of corruption and murder takes hostages in a government office to gain the time he needs to find the truth. Showtimes 1:30 pm & 6:30 pm. June 4: Tech Time Bring your phones, tablets, laptop what- ever issue you have they will be glad to help. Cathy will still be coming every 3rd Monday at 10:30 am in the Sunroom and now her daughter Margie will be coming the 1st Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm. June 5: Peach World Kirby Pines Farmers Market brought to you by Peach World will be back in the Lobby every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. I know we all can’t wait for those homegrown tomatoes, peaches, peas and other wonderful fresh produce. June 5: KP Travelers Meeting You’ll get to hear about some of the won- derful outings that Carol Yount has orga- nized so far for 2019. So if you have any place or thing in mind you are interested in be sure and bring those suggestions with you. They meet the first Wednesday of every month 10:00 am. June 5: Yoga Stretch This is not advanced so don’t worry about getting on the floor and not being able to get up. You will be sitting in a chair or standing. Class is every Wednesday at 10:30 am in the PAC. June 5: Spanish Class Join Spanish Class every Wednesday at 1:30 pm in the Ante Room. Bridget is now dedication half of the class to new stu- dents and the second half to refresh and teach advanced folks.
