The Ladies Interdenominational
Circle Meeting “The Uplifters”
The Uplifters Circle is a nondenomi-
national group of women dedicated to
missions, prayer and Bible study led
by Elsie Huffard. All are welcome, just
come to the Chapel at 2:00 pm to join
in fellowship with this wonderful group
of ladies every fourth Tuesday of the
month.

and Dance
Put on your grass skirts, Hawaiian shirts
and hula on over to the PAC for our an-
nual Kirby Luau and Dance with The
Jim Mahannah Band. Hula lessons be-
gin at 6:00 pm and the band will start
playing at 6:30 pm. Theme meals will be
served for Lunch and Dinner, where the
Activities team will be distributing Leis!

Come to the Lobby at 6:00 pm to hear
the Isbell Family perform. Formally
known as Accents of Praise, this tal-
ented family will perform many Gospel
songs that you are familiar with, along
with a few new ones.

gloats over their kills until they learn
they actually shot down British fliers.
The squad is transferred to France and
acquires an American pilot. Will be

Join Brittany Wells as she talks about
Osteoporosis & Arthritis, two differ-
ent conditions that effect mobility. Os-
teoporosis is a condition in which the
bones become less dense and more
likely to fracture. It can result in a loss
of height, severe back pain, and change
in one’s posture. Arthritis is a general
term for conditions that affect the joints
and surrounding tissues. Brittany will
be in the Large Card Room at 10:30 am
to provide more information about this
important topic.

Night with the Stars”
Come to the performing arts center at
7:00
pm for the Ham-ateurs summer
program “Night with the Stars”. Repre-
sentatives from Creative aging will be
present to judge the various acts and de-
clare the winners. These winners will be
going on to be part of Creative Aging’s
Annual Senior Showcase on July 20th,
which will be held here at Kirby Pines.

“
The Music Man”
Come to Theatre Memphis for a perfor-
mance of “The Music Man”. One of the
most famous names in Musical Theatre,
Professor Harold Hill, descends on River
City, Iowa, to con the town into organiz-
ing a young people’s band and, along the
way, selling them “76 Trombones”. But
he didn’t count on meeting Marion the
Librarian. Call the box office for tickets
at 682-8323 and sign up with Transpor-
tation. Bus leaves at 6:30 pm.

This magnificent expedition that takes
you 300 miles off the west coast of Costa
Rica to the remote animal sanctuary of
Cocos Island, where the amazing under-
water world shelters some of the ocean’s

barracudas, giant sea turtles, porpoises
and hundreds of sharks. One riveting
scene, a favorite of viewers, features a
male blenny searching for a mate. Will

worlds apart grapple with love at a time
