Tea & Tour for Seniors
Tea with Dali at The Brooks
Though most famous for his Surrealist
oil paintings, Salvador Dalí (1904-1989)
was also a remarkably skilled book il-
lustrator and an innovative printmaker.
Dalí chose to illustrate literary works
that reflect the goals of the Surrealist
movement, as well as his own fascina-
tion with magic and dreams. Join us for
a guided tour of his illustrations inspired
by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland,
Hans Christian Anderson’s Fairy Tales,
and Miguel de Cervantes’s masterwork
Don Quixote. Enjoy tea and treats in the
Brushmark afterwards. Cost is $3.00.
Reservation required; call 901-544-
6244.
The bus will be leaving at 1:40
pm, sign up in Transportation.

“
Boeing Boeing”
Come to the Germantown Community
Theater for a performance of “Boeing
Boeing”. This 1960s French farce adapt-
ed for the English-speaking stage features
self-styled Parisian lothario Bernard,
who has Italian, German, and American
fiancées, each beautiful airline hostesses
with frequent “layovers”. He keeps “one
up, one down and one pending” until
unexpected schedule changes bring all
three to Paris and Bernard’s apartment at
the same time. Call the box office at 937-
3023
for tickets. Sign up in Transporta-
tion, the bus leaves at 7:00 pm.
