Married for 51 years, she and her husband, David, have two children, six grandchildren and two great grands. Martha married and became a full time homemaker after attending The University of Mississippi. At Ole Miss, she was a majorette and a Kappa sorority member. Traveling has been a major enjoyment for the Walkers. They went on four cruises and their destinations included Hawaii, Costa Rica, England, China, and Switzerland. They also traveled throughout the United States. Other than traveling, Martha enjoys playing bridge, tennis, music, hiking and boating. She likes sports, especially cheering for her Ole Miss Rebels. Through the years she has been a collector of family antiques. To stay active, Martha is continuing her civic involvement. She served as a hospital volunteer for 30 years and has been a Sunday school teacher. Martha, we are so pleased to welcome you to Kirby Pines.We havemuch to offer and, with your interests and outgoing personality, there is no doubt you will be a good fit for our many activities. Ma r t ha Wa l ke r Sue Pos t l e t hwa i t e Born in Ruleville, Mississippi, Carolyn Sue Postlethwaite comes to Kirby Pines from her previous home in Eads, Tennessee. Married to her late husband for 53 years, she is the proud mother to their two children Brad and Ben. She also has two grandchildren, Jack and Leo. Sue earned a B.A. Degree from Delta State University. She enjoyed her career as a full-time homemaker while pursuing her love of creative writing. ThePostlethwaites enjoyedmany travel adventures. Those included trips throughout Europe, England and Seoul, South Korea. They also enjoyed their vacations to West Virginia and following the University of West Virginia basketball games, his alma mater. Sue is a collector of miniatures and books. With her love of reading and books, she is definitely a fit for the Book Baggers group. To stay active, Sue likes to walk. She will surely enjoy many walks on the paths throughout our beautiful campus. We are so happy this friendly lady chose Kirby Pines for her home in the next chapter of her life.
