Tenant cabin, commissary, grist mill, kitchen, garden, medical herb garden, ar- boretum. 11:30 Informal “Tea” (lite buffet w/several varieties of hot tea; baked goods & fruit). Allow 30 minutes for Pioneer Fi- bers Presentation – Learn about cotton, spinning, weaving, quilt making. Cathy will still be coming every 3rd Monday at 10:30 am in the Sunroom and now her daughter Margie will be coming the 1st Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm. May 7: IPC Ballet The IPC Ballet Program is excited to be bringing their 9th Annual Spring perfor- mance to the Kirby Pines residents on Tuesday, May 7, at 6:00 pm in the PAC. The ballet program will consist of over 150 dancers with ages ranging from 3-17. May 8: Garden Club Meeting The spraying for aphids is complete. Green house is now open. Our seedlings under the grow lights are well. Do not move the trays or pots. We have early girl tomatoes, and Roma. Bell peppers Jalape- ños and eggplant also. Soon we will have cherry tomatoes. Weather permitting-We will clean beds the week of the 18th to 23rd. Come on down to the Greenhouse every 2nd Wednesday of every month at 10:30 am rain or shine and dig in! Showtimes 1:30 pm & 6:30 pm. May 9: Bible Study with Dave Phillips Join Germantown Church of Christ’s Dave Phillips as he leads a group Bible Study every Thursday at 10:00 am in the Chapel. Dave is a great teacher and speak- er. All denominations invited. May 9: Charlie Town Hall Don’t miss another Charlie Town Hall Meeting and get answers to some of the questions you want to know. In the PAC at 2:00 pm. May 10: Musicwith Cecil Yancy Cecil is a guitar & Vocalist that plays Memphis Music, gospel and country. He hasn’t been here in years so be sure and check him out at 6:00 pm in the Lobby. May 11 & 25: Through the Bible Through the Bible is a study of the Bible led by Gail Kommer and Barbara Hyland, meeting the 2nd and 4th Saturday of ev- ery month at 10:00 am in the Small Card Room. Bring a Bible and notebook. Join this group of ladies who enjoy learning about God’s Word. All are welcome. May 11: Mother's Day Cookout Its here, our favorite time of the year! Come enjoy a fun filled day with fam- ily, friends, and great food includes BBQ, BBQ Chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, wa- termelon, ice-cream, and more. Fishing Rodeo, Excotic Petting Zoo, Camel and Pony Rides, Face Painting , Relay Races and more, the fun starts at 11:00 am. May 12: Mother's Day Concert with Suzanne & Jim Join us for a Mother’s Day concert at 2:00 pm in the Lobby with Suzanne & Jim. Enjoy an afternoon of delightful enter- tainment which includes award-winning vocals, expertise on a 5-string banjo, gui- tar and flute, and unique musical instru- ments such as the autoharp and spoons. It will take you back to the good ole days. Join them in the Lobby at 2:00 pm. May 14: Birthday Night with Opera Memphis Join Opera Memphis for a wonderful night of music. Hear some of your songs from the great Operas. Join them at 6:30 pm in the PAC.. May 15: Arthritis Bake Sale Come indulge in some delicious home- made baked goods, to benefit The Arthri- tis Foundation from 9:00 am -2:00 pm in the Lobby. May 15: Alzheimer’s Support Group Are you caring for a loved one with Al- zheimers or dementia? Our support group meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month in the Ante Room at 10:00 am.
