John will be telling his story of becoming an author and publishing a series of books intended to pique the interest of young boys/men to read and help write stories. Larry Tyler is skilled on both guitar and keyboard and provides vocals on a wide repertoire of material, including pop, jazz standards, rock, country, and gospel. Wes Walker plays the saxophone, flute, and clari- net and has performed professionally around the region for the past 30 years. Kelley Walker has performed around the Memphis area with various bands, singing rock and roll, old standards and top 40 hits. Don’t miss them at 6:00 pm in the PAC and Live TV 10. NATIONAL NURSES WEEK MAY 6-12 National Nurses Week was first observed in October 1954, the 100th anniversary of Florence Nightingale's mission to Crimea. The English nurse became known as the founder of professional nursing, because of her pioneering work during the Crimean War (1853-1856). Due to her habit of making rounds at night, Nightingale became known as "The Lady with the Lamp". May 6 was introduced as the official date for the observance in 1982. May 12, the final day of National Nurses Week, is the birthday of Florence Nightingale (1820-1910).
