Basic and Beginning Water Aerobics is on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9:30 am. Men’s Water Aerobics are held on Tues- days &Thursdays at 8:30 am. Arthritis Sit/ Stand classes are on Tuesdays & Thurs- days at 11:00 am in the PAC. Nov 1: Bible Study with Dave Phillips Join Germantown Church of Christ’s Dave Phillips as he leads a group Bible Study every Thursday at 10:00 am in the Chapel. Dave is a great teacher and speak- er. All denominations invited. Nov 1: Special Day Of Prayer There will be a special Day of Prayer on Thursday, November 1st at 11:00 am in the Chapel and also that evening at Ves- pers in the PAC. Make plans to attend one or both of these prayer times as we pray for our leader, our nation and the mid- term election. Nov 2: Art with Helen Whether you are already an artist or would like to learn, join teacher Helen Gaines on Fridays at 10:00 am in the Arts & Crafts Room. Nov 2: Mahjong with Jody Join Jody on Fridays at 10:00 am in the Small Card Room to learn the ancient Chinese game of Mahjong. Nov 2: Quilt Presentation June Colwell is a master at quilting. She will be showing and talking about her quilts. She has one that took 2 years to make about American Farm Life in the early 1900’s in the rural south. Each square represents a different part of farm life of that era. It took first place at View- er’ Choice Award in 2017 at Tomorrows’ Heirloom XVI Quilt Show. Whether you quilt or not this promises to be a very in- teresting program. Join her at 1:30 pm in the LCR. Nov 2: Music with Rick Nethery Rick Nethery formerly of The Beverly Brothers will be singing songs from Elvis, Rick Nelson, and Buddy Holly, to Hank Williams Sr. and Patsy Cline, Rick will play a wide variety of classic songs from that era. Don’t miss this fun evening in the Lobby at 6:00 pm. Nov 3: Men’s Christian Fellowship The Men’s Christian Fellowship meets ev- ery Saturday morning in the Ante Room at 7:30 am. There is a rotating list of resi- dent speakers who give a devotion at each meeting. Come enjoy coffee and fellow- ship with us each week. Nov 3: Game Play Group Like to play games? Bring your own to share or join in with someone already there! Meets in the Large Card Room ev- ery Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 1:30 pm. Nov 3: Violin Student Recital Join the Violin Students of Diane Cohen in the Lobby at 2:30 pm as they perform their fall recitals. Nov 5: First Monday Poetry Group Come to listen; come to read; come to re- cite from memory. Check out “The Poet’s Corner” on the post office bulletin board where a residential poet will be featured. We meet the first Monday of every month in the Ante Room at 10:00 am. Exception: This Meeting will take place in the Formal Dining Room for a luncheon meeting at 11:30 am. Nov 5: Focus on Color Coloring books are incredibly simple, portable, easy to pick up and put down, and a colored–in page takes up almost no space. So come to the Arts & Crafts Room the first and third Monday at 10:00 am. Nov 5: Mahjong Join in and play Mahjong every Monday at 1:15 pm in the SCR. Nov 5: Magnum: Blood & Honor Adm. Hawkes enlists Magnum’s help to find out who is leaking classified Navy in- formation.1:30 pm in the Movie Theater. Nov 5: Tai Chi Originally developed for self-defense, Tai Chi has evolved into a graceful form of exercise. Every Monday in the PAC at 2:00 pm. Nov 5: Bingo Night Entry costs only $1 per card, with an op- portunity to win up to two prizes. Every Monday night at 6:30 pm in the PAC. Nov 6: Medical Director Dr. Mike Abutineh MD Will be in the Wellness Clinic Tuesdays 9:00 am -12:00 pm and Thursdays 1:00- 4:30 pm. Appointments required. Nov 6: Election Day The bus will be taking residents to the polls at 11:00 am. Nov 6: BUNKO Join this fun group of folks every Tuesday at 1:30 pm in the LCR for the great game of BUNKO. Nov 6: Sabrina A playboy becomes interested in the daughter of his family’s chauffeur, but it’s his more serious brother who would be the better man for her. Showtimes 1:30 pm & 6:30 pm. Nov 7: Alzheimer’s Bake Sale Join us in the Lobby for our Annual Bake Sale benefiting the Alzheimer’s Founda- tion of America. Come on down and pur- chase your favorite dessert or two or three and tell all of your friends to join in as we continue to aid in the research for a cure of this insidious disease. We will open at 9:00 am and close at 1:00 pm. Nov 7: Traveler’s Meeting Don’t miss the Traveler’s Meeting to hear about upcoming outings and events out- side the community. All are invited to join this fun loving group of folks. Meetings are the first Wednesday of every month at 10:00 am in the LCR. Nov 7: Yoga Stretch This is not advanced so don’t worry about getting on the floor and not being able to get up. You will be sitting in a chair or standing. Class is every Wednesday at 10:30 am in the PAC.
