Friday the 16th at 10:30 am in the Lobby. Nov 16: Music with Memphis Side Show John Groesse and Hal VanCanneyt make up the Memphis Sideshow. They perform oldies, standards, country, blues, R&B, gospel and rock, adding their unique spin to the music with the assistance of tracks created in their studio, giving the sound of a full band. Join them in the Lobby at 6:00 pm. Nov 17: Piano Student Recital The University Of Memphis Scheidt School Of Music will be here to perform their fall recital pieces. Nov 20: Briarcrest Jr. High Show Band and Choir Join the students of Briarcrest as they present us with another one of their great performances. They select us every year to come and play on sing to us on their Great Day of Service. Let’s show them how much we appreciate them coming by filling the PAC at 10:15 am. Nov 20: Turkey Trot Dance with Swingtime Explosion Swingtime Explosion Big Band performs a variety of musical styles and selections in an effort to promote and recreate the Big Band sound by applying that sound to popular American music from the 30’s to today. Come and listen to the wonderful band. Tuesday in the PAC at 6:30 pm. Nov 21: Alzheimer’s Support Group If you’re interested in learning about Al- zheimer’s, please give this group a try. The meetings will take place the 3rd Wednes- day of each month at 10:00 am in the LCR. Nov 21: Smart Moves This month’s topic is “Diabetes”. The meeting will be held 1:30 pm in the PAC. Nov 21: Solo Young Han Solo finds adventure when he joins forces with a gang of galactic smug- glers and a 190-year-old Wookie named Chewbacca. Showtimes 1:30 pm& 6:30 pm. Nov 22: One Special Night A man and woman find themselves stranded together over the Thanksgiv- ing holiday by a heavy snowstorm, giv- ing them the chance to gradually learn about each other’s lives and become firm friends. Nov 23: Music with Music Antigua 1492: Music from the Age of Discovery.” The group specializes in music from the 13th to the 17th centuries, performing on replicas of historic instruments as well as more modern instruments. Nov 26: Bartlett Senior Center This group of singers and players always put on fantastic show. So don’t forget it’s at 2:00 pm in the PAC. Nov 27: The Book Baggers Whether you read or would like to hear about books being discussed, come and check us out. Our read for this month will be “Y’all Twins?” By Katherine and Mar- garet King. Both of the sisters will be here to discuss the book with us. As always, please share this group with new residents and any friends you would like to invite.
