Nov 16 : Dance with The Jim Mahannah Band The Jim Mahannah Band includes sax- ophone, flute, clarinet, trumpet, trom- bone, keyboard, guitar, bass, drums and vocals. The band has played together for over twenty-five years and is a highly versatile group. Join us in the PAC at 6:30 pm as we dance the night away. Nov 17: Caregiver Support Group Are you caring for a loved one? Our sup- port group meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month in the Small Card Room at 10:00 am. We find support as well as comforting suggestions for unique problems. Caregiving is very diffucult. Come be a part of our group. Nov 17: Dream Horse DreamAlliance is an unlikely race horse bred by small-town Welsh bartend- er Jan Vokes. With no experience, Jan convinces her neighbors to chip in their meager earnings to help raise Dream in the hopes he can compete with the racing elites. Showing at 1:30 pm in the theatre. Nov 19: Art Wall Reception Come enjoy some refreshments and en- joy viewing this month’s art wall exhibi- tion in the PAC at 2:00 pm. Nov 19 : Music with Johnson and Johnson Together John Johnson and Jay Johnson bring Gospel Music to your community. John played with the Southern Joy Band for 18 years and has been writing songs all of his life. Jay has been in the enter- tainment industry for over 40 years and has played with major stars including Charlie Rich, Bill Haney, and the Bluff City Quartet. Join us in the Lobby at 6:00 pm for this crowd pleaser. Nov 23: The Book Baggers The book we will be reading for No- vember is “West with Giraffes” by Lynda Rutledge. As a follow-up to the depres- sion-era book of October, “West with Giraffes” is an emotional, rousing novel inspired by the incredible true story of two giraffes who made headlines and won the hearts of a nation in desperate need of a successful adventure during such trying times. Nov 23: You've Got Mail Book superstore magnate, Joe Fox and independent book shop owner, Kath- leen Kelly fall in love in the anonymity of the Internet both blissfully unaware that he’s trying to put her out of busi- ness.Showing at 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm in the theatre. Nov 24: Larry Crowne After losing his job, a middle-aged man reinvents himself by going back to col- lege. Showing at 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm in the theatre. Nov 26 : Music with Amaro Dubois Amaro Dubois is a Brazilian violist who has approached his unique playing in many aspects in the classical music in- dustry. He has been invited to many master classes for renowned artist and collaborated with composers from Bra- zil to North America. He will be joined by pianist Tingting Yao, staff pianist at the University of Memphis. She has played from England all the way to Chi- na, where she worked as a piano teacher in Lang Lang’s first piano school. To- gether, the Duo’s mission is to prioritize music compositions by underrepresent- ed composers. Join them in the lobby at 6:00 pm for a great night.
