America. She translates portions of the
Bible into the language of an indigenous
group who lives in the Amazon rain
forest. This group’s language and culture
has some interesting differences from
the English language and North Ameri-
can culture. She will be coming to speak
at 4:00 pm in the PAC.

formance of “The Heiress”. The timeless
story of New York society and status
and the cost of love focuses on Cathe-
rine Sloper, a shy and withdrawn young
woman living under the tyranny of her
physician father. Conflict comes as she
is suddenly exposed to a world of hope
