Jr. fondly recalls his first Broadway
revue, the Ziegfeld Follies of 1907.
Even from heaven, he is hoping that he

appear in these follies, he is assisted in
realizing his fantasy by such luminaries
as Fred Astaire, Lucille Ball,, Cyd
Charisse, Judy Garland, Gene Kelly,
Red Skelton, Esther Williams and, of
course, a bevy of beautiful girls.

With 13 hours until the beginning of the
NFL draft, Sonny Weaver, GM of the
Cleveland Browns, is informed by the
team’s owner that if he doesn’t make
a splash and generate ticket sales, he’s
going to be fired. That prompts the GM
to take a trade offer from another team
that gives him the first pick in the draft,
in exchange for three furure first-round
picks. The move outrages the Browns’
head coach, and forces all of the team’s
scouts to dig up what they can find
about the pick everyone, including the
owner, expects them to make -- a highly
touted QB fromWisconsin. Meanwhile,
Weaver is drawn to a talented linebacker
who has family issues to deal with and
is known for having a hot temper.

Two soldiers slip away from the war in
Vietnam, and find themselves swept up
in the anti-war movement back home
in the U.S. while wrestling with issues
of love and commitment. Dalton Joiner
is fighting for his country overseas
when he learns that his girlfriend Jane
has decided to move on. Heartbroken,
Dalton decides to make the most of his
weeklong leave of absence by returning
home to try and sweep Jane off her feet.
Meanwhile, Dalton’s thrill-seeking war
buddy Mickey decides to tag along
on the trip. With only one week to get
home, convince Jane that his love is
true, and return to the front lines, Dalton
and Mickey find that Jane has changed
her name to Juniper, and is deep in the
movement that wants American troops
out of Vietnam. Just when the two
soldiers think they’ve got it all figured
out, Mickey falls hard for Juniper’s
friend Candace, and starts to see the
conflict from a whole new perspective.

clearly intent on causing mischief.
Tracy is surprised to learn that Mike
is a serious writer who works for the
tabloids only to earn a paycheck. They
are clearly attracted to one another and
the arrival of Tracy’s ne’er-do-well
father - and some rather stern comments
on his part - leads her to reevaluate her
choices and what it is she wants for the
future.
