Basic and Beginning Water Aerobics is on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9:30 am. Men’s Water Aerobics are held on Tues- days &Thursdays at 8:30 am. Arthritis Sit/ Stand classes are on Tuesdays & Thurs- days at 11:00 am in the PAC. Sept 2: Focus on Color Coloring books are incredibly simple, portable, easy to pick up and put down, and a colored–in page takes up almost no space. So come to the Arts & Crafts Room the first and third Monday at 10:00 am. Sept 2: First Monday Poetry Group Come to listen; come to read; come to re- cite from memory. Check out “The Poet’s Corner” on the post office bulletin board where a residential poet will be featured. We meet the first Monday of every month in the Ante Room at 10:00 am. Sept 2: Mahjong Join in and play Mahjong every Monday and Friday at 1:00 pm in the SCR. Sept 2: Magnum: The Great Hawaiian Adventure Company Magnum has developed a great idea for a new business while TC’s son is in Hawaii and running with a motorcycle gang and getting jailed. Showtime 1:30 pm. Sept 2: Game Play Group Like to play games? Bring your own to share or join in with someone already there! Meets in the LCR every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 1:30 pm. Sept 2: Oklahoma In Oklahoma, several farmers, cowboys and a traveling salesman compete for the romantic favors of various local ladies. Showtimes 3:00 pm & 6:30 pm. Sept 2: Bingo Night Join us for a fun-filled evening of BINGO! Entry costs only $1 per card, with an op- portunity to win up to two prizes. Every Monday night at 6:30 pm in the PAC. Sept 3: Medical Director Dr. Mike Abutineh MD Will be in the Wellness Clinic Tuesdays 9:00 am -12:00 pm and Thursdays 1:00- 4:30 pm. Appointments required. Sept 3: BUNKO J oin this fun group of folks every Tuesday at 1:30 pm in the LCR for the great game of BUNKO. Sept 3: Liar Liar A fast-track lawyer can’t lie for 24 hours due to his son’s birthday wish after he dis- appoints his son for the last time. Show- times 1:30 pm & 6:30 pm. Sept 3: Tech Time Bring your phones, tablets, laptop what- ever issue you have they will be glad to help. Cathy will still be coming every 3rd Monday at 10:30 am in the Sunroom and now her daughter Margie will be coming the 1st Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm. Sept 4: KP Travelers Meeting Come to the Travel Group on Wednes- day, Sept 4th at 10:00 am to learn about various trips we have planned in the near future: Lichterman Museum and Nature Center, Parkin Archeological Sate Park in Arkansas, Safari Park, Gateway to the Blues Museum, Bible Museum, etc. We would love to have other suggestions for future adventures too! See you there! Sept 4: Yoga Stretch This is not advanced so don’t worry about getting on the floor and not being able to get up. You will be sitting in a chair or standing. Class is every Wednesday at 10:30 am in the PAC. Sept 4: Spanish Class Join Spanish Class every Wednesday at 1:30 pm in the Ante Room. Bridget is now dedication half of the class to new stu- dents and the second half to refresh and teach advanced folks. Sept 4: Mr. Church When a young girl and her dying moth- er are joined by a black male cook who comes to live with them, little do they know that their lives are about to change forever. Showtimes 1:30 pm & 6:30 pm. Sept 4: Virtual Wii Bowling Come join the fun every Wednesday af- ternoon at 2:00 pm in the Large Card Room. No skill required. It is set up on the TV; all you have to do is check out the remotes from the Front Desk and return them whenever your game is over. Sept 4: Ballroom Dancing Join the gang for ballroom dancing les- sons with Ken Black. Lessons will take place every Wednesday at 2:00 pm in the PAC. Sept 5: Bible Study with Dave Phillips Join Germantown Church of Christ’s Dave Phillips as he leads a group Bible Study every Thursday at 10:00 am in the Chapel. All denominations invited. Sept 5: Rockford Files Jim Rockford is an ex-con and private detective. He was falsely convicted of a crime he didn’t commit, but that doesn’t stop him from using his ex-con buddies to help him solve crimes. Nothing comes easy for Rockford, but he works hard and usually gets shot at or beat up at least once per episode. The Rockford Files will be played every Thursday at 1:30 pm. Sept 5: Brooks Senior Tea & Tour Join us for a delightful tour of Bou- guereau & America, and afterward, enjoy tea and treats in the Terrace Room. This exhibition explores William-Adolphe Bouguereau’s remarkable popularity in the United States. The artist’s highly pol- ished interpretations of classical subjects — including heroic men, sensuous god- desses and playful cupids, as well as his in- timate and idealized portrayal of peasant life were avidly sought after by American collectors. Admission $3.00. Bus will de- part at 1:30 pm.
