Sept 17: Walk With Ease Walk with Ease offers support, informa- tion and tools to help improve your pos- ture, gait, balance and endurance as well as an opportunity to make friends and discover your way around the hallways. We’ll begin walking inside for 10 minutes and build to 30 minutes. Classes are for nine weeks meeting twice each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:30 pm in the Arts & Crafts room and led by Mary Hand. Contact Life Enhancement De- partment or sign up in the Oasis. Sept 17: Fall Dance with The Jim Mahannah Band Join Jim and his band for a night of sum- mer fun with music, dancing and fellow- ship. The music starts at 6:30 pm. Sept 18: Alzheimer’s Support Group Are you caring for a loved one with Al- zheimers or dementia? Our support group meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month in the Ante Room at 10:00 am. Sept 18: Smart Moves This months topic will be Flexibility. It is held the 3rd Wednesday of every month in the PAC at 1:30 pm. Sept 18: Virtual Field Trip: Join us in the Movie Theater as we go on a Virtual Field Trip. The destination will be announced closer to the time to enable the creators to send us to the most inter- esting places. Begins at 2:00 pm. Sept 18: Girls Night Out Don’t miss this good time with just the la- dies for a movie and fun. 6:30 pm in the Movie Theater. This month’s movie will be “Man with a Gun". Sept 19: Lunch Bunch @ Seasons 52 Our seasonal menus feature ingredients at their peak of freshness, oak-fire grilled or brick oven roasted (without a fryer in sight) to be naturally lighter and more fla- vorful. Sept 20: Musica Antigua Musica Antigua Memphis will present “My Fayre Ladye: Women and Music” in a program of music from the 13th to the 17 centuries. They will include Medi- eval Chants; song of a female troubadour; songs of miracles; Jewish women in exile; music for the lute and cittern; dances for the Queen’s court. The groups consists of six instrumentalists and two singers. They will play on replicas of original instru- ments used during the periods. The pro- gram will be in the Lobby at 6:00 pm. Sept 21: Germantown Symphony Pops Concert Hop on the bus and head out to Germantown Municipal Park for an out- door concert! Kirby will have a tent with chairs for everyone’s comfort. Sign up in Transportation. The bus will leave Kirby at 4:00 pm to head out to this free musical event. Sept 23: Magnum: Resolutions Part 1 Magnum returns to Virginia on vacation and reflects on his life, his marriage to Michelle and his experiences. He hast- ily returns to Hawaii when TV reporter Linda Lee Ellison is attacked. Showtime 1:30 pm . Sept 24: The Book Baggers Whether you read or would like to hear about books being discussed, come and check us out. Charlie Lambert, author of CAPTURING THE REEL WORLD (2010) and COOKIE TIN (2018) plans to be with us at our Sept 24 meeting. He is giving a presentation on “History of Stu- dio System; Origins and History of Os- cars; Looking back on outstanding films from silent to end of golden age of Hol- lywood.” The Book Baggers meet the 4th Tuesday of every month in the Chapel at 9:30 am. This month our meeting will be held in the LCR. You will need to bring your Medicare or insurance card with you. If you would like to fill out one of the forms ahead of time you can pick one up in the wellness center.
