Basic and Beginning Water Aero- bics is on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9:30 am. Men’s Water Aerobics are held on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 8:30 am. Ar- thritis Sit/Stand classes are on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 11:00 am in the PAC. Yoga Strech is on Live TV 10 at 12:45 pm Monday and Wednesdays. Folks are not allowed in her classes at this time. Sept 1: Medical Director Dr. Mike Abutineh MD Will be in the Wellness Clinic Tuesdays 9:00 am -12:00 pm and Thursdays 1:00- 4:30 pm. Appointments required. Sept 1: Travelers Present Peter Jones will give a Power Point pre- sentation about Rapa Nui (Easter Is- land). Rapa Nui, the most remote, iso- lated, inhabited place in the world, is world-famous for its mysterious, large stone statues, or Moai. The Moai, stand- ing up to 32 feet in height and weighing 6 to 8 tons each, were probably carved from hardened volcanic ash during the period from about 400 Ad to 1550-1700 AD. The statues were erected along most of the island’s coastline and faced inland. Join the group at 9:30 am in the PAC for this informative presentation. Sept 1: Entertainer’s Chorus Join the Entertainers every Tuesday at 1:00 pm in the Chapel to sing and fel- lowship. They are always looking for new members so if you enjoy singing go and check them out. Sept 1: BUNKO Join this fun group of folks every Tues- day at 1:30 pm in the LCR for the great game of BUNKO. This is not advanced so don’t worry about getting on the floor and not being able to get up. You will be sitting in a chair or standing. Class is every Monday & Wednesday at 12:45 pm in the PAC and on Live TV 10. Sept 2: Game Play Group Like to play games? Bring your own to share or join in with someone already there! Meets in the LCR every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 1:30 pm. Sept 2: Guarding Tess Doug Chesnic is a stoic Secret Ser- vice agent who feels more like a heav- ily armed butler guarding former First Lady Tess Carlisle, a demanding widow living quietly in Ohio. Sept 3: The Crown: Season 3 This historical drama centers on Queen Elizabeth II and the daunting challenges she faces after ascending to the throne at the age of 25 amid a declining British Empire and a political landscape in tur- moil. Every Thursday at 1:30 pm. Sept 4: Mahjong Join in and play Mahjong every Mon- day at 1:00 pm in the LCR... Beginners Mahjong is every Friday at 1:15 pm in the SCR. Sept 4: Art with Helen Whether you are already an artist or would like to learn, join teacher Helen Gaines on Fridays at 10:00 am in the Arts & Crafts Room. Sept 4: Music with Hank and Stan Hank Sable has been a member of the Joyce Cobb band for 15 years, playing every Sunday for the Boscos’ brunch. Hank also performs with Nora Tuck- er, at the River Inn, and at Paulette’s. A long-time Creative Aging musician, Hank plays guitar and violin. Wood- winds Master, Stan Jackson plays flute, percussion and keyboards. Stan has worked with music industry notables Quincy Jones, Jackson Brown and Kirk Whalum. Stan has performed with Joyce Cobb on Sundays at Boscos’ brunch and with Hank. Hank and Stan will delight your audiences. Join them at 6:00 pm in PAC or Live TV Channel 10. Sept 5: Men’s Christian Fellowship The Men’s Christian Fellowship meets ev- ery Saturday morning in the Large Card Room at 8:00 am. There is a rotating list of resident speakers who give a devotion at each meeting. Come enjoy coffee and fellowship with us each week. Larry McK- enzie is Program Leader. Sept 5: Dead Sea Scrolls Dr Gary Rendsburg PhD of Rutgers University prepared 24 half hour lec- tures on the greatest religious arche- ological finds of modern times “The Dead Sea Scrolls’” As we continue this series tune your TV to channel 10 at 10:30 am each Saturday.
