Dr. Ryan Stone is a brilliant medical
engineer on her first shuttle mission,
with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky
in command of his last flight before
retiring. But on a seemingly routine
spacewalk, disaster strikes. The
shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone
and Kowalsky completely alone -
tethered to nothing but each other
and spiraling out into the blackness.
While figuring out what steps
they can take to save themselves,
Stone grapples with a painful past
that makes her consider giving up
altogether.

S. Winthrop Putnam, the bureaucrat who
made the mistake tries unsuccessfully
to correct his mix-up. It’s too late, for
Dynamite Jackson is off to Paris, where
the two meet and marry, or so they think!

Sophie is part of a team of volunteers
who respond to the letters. When Sophie
answers a letter from 1957, the woman
who wrote it decides to seek out the one
that got away, and romance starts to
blossom all around.

His Aunt Sophie and his teacher
Professor Heinrich are sure that Roger
Grant will be a famous classical
violinist, but Roger’s more interested
in popular music. He and his friend,
pianist Charlie, audition at a saloon
in San Francisco’s Barbary Coast,
using sheet music left by singer Stella
Kirby, which had been sent to her by a
friend in New York, Irving Berlin. The
number, “Alexander’s Ragtime Band,”
proves to be a sensation, and Stella goes
along with Charlie’s plea to sing with
the band, which soon becomes famous
for its ragtime numbers.
