from memory. Share a favorite verse or
two as others share their verse with you.

etry lovers have a spot. Check out The
Poet’s Corner on the post office bulletin
board. A residential poet will be fea-

Room. No skill required. It’s new and
it’s FUN! NEWS FLASH: You can now
play Wii with friends or your grandkids
any time in the Large Card Room! It is
set up on the tv; all you have to do is
check out the remotes from the Front
Desk and return them whenever your
game is over.

puter classes every Wednesday at 3:00
p.m. in the Library Computer Room.

Dandy
James Cagney won the Best Actor
Oscar for his lively portrayal of “Mr.
Broadway,” George M. Cohan, in this
lavish screen biography that highlights
Cagney in some of his finest song-and-
dance routines. Cohan, a playwright,
entertainer, composer and patriot, made
his mark on the vaudeville stage and
penned countless memorable tunes,
including “Over There,” “It’s a Grand
Old Flag,” “Give My Regards to Broad-
way” and the film’s rousing title num-
ber. Movie plays at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00
p.m. in the Theater.

Branson’s political views land him in
trouble and Sybil’s loyalty is tested to
the limit, while Ethel makes a difficult
decision about her son’s future. Anna

Speleers, Eragon) sparking immediate

Trietsch United Methodist
Youth Choir
The Trietsch Youth Choir is from a sub-
urb outside of Dallas/Fort Worth called
Flower Mound and consists of forty
kids from grade six to grade twelve.
They take a summer tour every year
to share their talents and love for Je-
sus Christ. The program that they are
presenting this year is “Old Time Re-
ligion,” a collection of gospel songs
and old hymns that you will know and
LOVE. The Trietsch Youth Choir will
be in the Lobby at 2:30 p.m.

on October 10, there is a concert to

their equilibrium. She still acts like a
diva, but she refuses to sing. Still, the
show must go on... and it does.

The Glenn Miller Story traces Miller’s
rise from pit-orchestra trombone player
to leader of the most successful big
band of his era. June Allyson is on hand
as Miller’s wife, Helen, who learns the
value of patience when Glenn spends
his wedding night jamming with Gene
Krupa and Louis Armstrong. Given an
officer’s commission during World War
II, Miller helms the swingin’est military
band ever heard. In December of 1944,
a plane carrying Miller isappears
while flying over the E glish Channel.
