The First Monday Poetry Group meets
in the Ante Room on Monday June 3rd
at 10:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome.
Come to listen; come to read; come to
recite from memory. Share a favorite
verse or two as others share their verse
with you. Every first Monday at 10:00
a.m. all poetry lovers have a spot. Check
out The Poet’s Corner on the post office
bulletin board. A resident poet will be
featured each month.

Club Meeting
Calling all adventurous spirits! Let’s get
on the road again! Join the Travel Club
on Wednesday, June 5th at 10:30 a.m.
in The Large Card Room. The Kirby
Pines Travelers traveled to The Cotton
Museum under the leadership of Jim
Stafford, Charlie Parrott and Marsha
Greiner where we learned all about
cotton and its importance to not only
America but other countries as well.
After The Cotton Museum we then
traveled to the Spaghetti Warehouse
and enjoyed a delightful spaghetti
lunch with hot Italian bread. We are
all looking forward to our upcoming
meeting when we will decide on our
next trip. All Kirby residents are invited
and welcome!

Room. No skill required. It’s new and
it’s FUN! NEWS FLASH: You can now
play Wii with friends or your grandkids
any time in the Large Card Room! It is
set up on the tv. All you have to do is
check out the remotes from the Front
Desk and return them whenever your
game is over.
