the balance, Mary hopes to receive a
bailout from grandmother Martha -
and with Violet’s help, tries to make
sure Downton puts on a bigger show
than ever before with a grand party
for friends and neighbors. Meanwhile,
Mrs. Hughes hears worrying news,
and O’Brien’s efforts to boost Alfred’s
progress meets with disapproval from
Thomas. Episode 2 will be shown at

has been playing and singing for over

years. He is a “crooner” who loves
to sing classic standards and ballads as
well as R&B, jazz, pop, and even light
country. He loves to entertain and really
get the audience involved! Rudy will be
in The Lobby at 6:00 p.m.

High School Choir
The First Baptist Church High School
Choir from Montgomery, Alabama
returns to Kirby! The group will be in
The Performing Arts Center at 10:30
a.m. to sing some traditional hymns
along with a few newer songs. These

th- 12th graders all attend First Baptist
Church and are very excited to connect
with us through song and fellowship.

Concert
Second Presbyterian’s annual Patriotic
Pops concert will feature world-
renowned soprano Kallen Esperian
with the Second Presbyterian Church
Chancel Choir and Orchestra. The
program will include patriotic favorites
as well as several classic standards by
Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and Rodgers
and Hammerstein. Bus leaves at 5:30

Music with
Joyce Cobb
As a singer, teacher, and actor, Joyce
has done it all: Signed a deal at Stax
Records, cut a Top 40 hit, “Dig The
Gold,” for the Cream label, opened
shows for The Temptations, Muddy
Waters, and Al Jarreau, toured
Europe, performed with the Memphis
Symphony Orchestra, and starred in
local productions of Ain’t Misbehavin’
and the Center For Southern Folklore’s
Beale Street Saturday Night (which
she co-created). Born in Oklahoma and
reared in Nashville, Joyce has been
immersed in music since her childhood
days singing in her grandmother’s
church. A popular and sought-after
performer, she is also an adjunct faculty
member at the University of Memphis.
Joyce will be in our Lobby at 6:00 p.m.
