Lizzie Franklin
March 2013
Employee of the Month
Lizzie Franklin is a long
time employee of Kirby Pines. She
is constantly looking for ways to
improve the care of the residents
and offer support to their family
members. She always works with a
smile on her face. Miss Franklin is a
flexible and dependable team player.
Family members frequently request
that she is assigned to their loved
one.
She readily assists with
orienting new employees and makes
them feel a part of the Kirby Pines
family. She is punctual and works
extra shifts if needed. I never hear
her say “that’s not my job or that’s
not my resident.” She is an asset to
Kirby Pines and a pleasure to work
with.

GOD’S 911
Technology has progressed at
such an unbelievable pace that our smart
phones put us quickly in touch with anyone
anywhere. There are also apps that assist
us in accomplishing an unlimited number
of tasks. But what has happened to the
personal touch? Do you remember the
ancient times when you picked up the phone
and said “Operator?”
Then you requested “Information”
and asked for the phone number of a
particular person! Now when you call it’s
all digitized, automatic and electronically
impersonal. To talk to a real person in a
legitimate crisis or emergency we can call
911
and an operator will help us.
Recently I ran across a list of God’s
911,
special places you can contact for
answers to specific problems and issues.
See what you think.
When in sorrow, call John 14.
If you want to be fruitful, call John 15.
When you have sinned, call Psalm 51.
When you worry, call Matthew 6:19-34.
When you are in danger, call Psalm 91.
When God seems far away,
call Psalm 139.
When your faith needs stirring,
call Hebrews 11.
When you are lonely and fearful,
call Psalm 23.
When you grow bitter and critical,
call I Corinthians 13.
When you feel down and out,
call Romans 8:31-39.
When you want peace and rest,
call Matt. 11:25-30.
When the world seems bigger than God,
call Psalm 90.
When your prayers grow narrow or selfish,
call Psalm 67.
When you want courage for a task,
call Joshua 1.
If your pocketbook is empty, call Psalm 37.

If discouraged with work, call Psalm 126.
If you are depressed, call Psalm 27.
Touched by an E-mail, Denny Mog, pp. 136-139
The strength of this rests in the
fact that all these lines are open 24 hours
a day. It doesn’t matter where you are or
when you make contact, help can be found.
It’s not new technology. It comes through
many past centuries, but still applies to our
issues today.
There are many more answers
available no matter what your questions or
problems might be. Are you ready to make
that call? You’ll never get a busy signal.
Start today.
