The Ladies Interdenominational
Circle Meeting “The Uplifters”
The Uplifters Circle is a nondenomi-
national group of women dedicated to
missions, prayer and Bible study led
by Elsie Huffard. We meet every fourth
Tuesday at 2:00 pm in the Chapel. All

pm to join in fellowship with this

In this segment of the Planet Earth
documentary series learn about the sa-
vanna, steppe, tundra, prairie, and the
importance and resilience of grasses in

Young Frankenstein
The Mid-South premiere production
of the Frankenstein legend. Based on
Mel Brooks’ classic film comedy, this
musical version follows young Dr.
Frankenstein, his oddly shaped and
endearing helper, Igor; his gorgeous
assistant, Inga, and his madcap fiancé,
Elizabeth…oh, and a singing, dancing
monster in a tuxedo. “Puttin’ on the
Ritz,” indeed. A blissfully funny mon-

The Beverly Brothers are a harmony
based duo with guitars performing a
wide ranging group of songs from clas-
sic country to classic rock n roll favor-
ites. From The Everly Brothers, Elvis
and Patsy Cline to Hank Williams Sr.
and the Beatles and all points in be-
tween, these life-long musicians can
satisfy every audience and every taste.

Germany and Japan and between them

with the musical stylings of Vern Yar-
bro. Vern plays a little bit of country,
a little bit of rock ‘n roll, so grab your
dancing shoes and come on up to in the
Performing Arts Center at 6:30 pm.

Bereavement
Support Group
Kirby Pines will now be offering a Be-
reavement Support group for those of
our residents who have lost a loved one.
Lamar Frizzell will lead the Bereave-
ment Support Group to serve people in
gaining perspective about their losses
and support them in regaining a healthy
quality of life. Lamar is a seminary-
trained ordained minister who serves
in the field of behavioral health.  Lamar
served as a chaplain with hospice ser-
vices and currently serves as a minis-
ter in a local church and as a director at
Delta Medical Center, Memphis in be-
havioral health.  His experience stretch-
es across almost 3 decades of service.
His purpose in serving in this way is to
support those who have spiritual and
emotional needs that arise from losses
in life which oftentimes results in stress,
isolation, anxiety, and depression.  The
Group will meet the 3rd Monday of
every month starting October 21st at
10:00
am in the Large Card Room.

In this segment of the Planet Earth
documentary travel with the filmmak-
ers as they examine jungles and tropi-
cal rainforests. These environments oc-
cupy only 3% of the land yet are home
to over half of the world’s species. Will

at 2:00 pm & 6:30 pm in the Movie
Theater.

The Winds of War Part I:
The Winds Rise”
In the spring of 1939, the winds of war
that will soon engulf the world are start-
ing to stir. It’s also a time of change for
the US Navy Commander Victor “Pug”
Henry who, accompanied by his wife
Rhoda, arrives in Berlin to assume his
new appointment as naval attaché to the
US Embassy. Pug is unaware that he and
his family, are about to experience the
most harrowing and adventurous years
