Garden Gro’ers Club
Meeting
The time for fall planting is here. There
are containers of vegetables that are
ready to be planted. The containers of
plants that are ready are: Cauliflower,
broccoli, leaf lettuce, romaine and
cabbage. There are various packages
of seeds available: mustard greens,
purple turnips, collards and seven top
turnips. There are other vegetable seed
packets available. Come on down to the
Greenhouse every 2nd Wednesday at
10:30 am and dig in!

“All About Frank”
Old Blue Eyes would have been 100
years old today! This tribute show
brought to us by Nashville musician
Claudia Nygaard doesn’t just showcase
his songs, it shares his story as well.
In chronological order, Claudia has
interspersed stories gleaned from
several biographies about his life, with
the most iconic songs. She will start out
with the first songs he sang in public,
thenmove on to his time as a singer with
Tommy Dorsey and Harry James, then
to songs responsible for his comeback

Lunch Bunch @ The Peabody’s
Capriccio Grill
The Peabody is always the place to “see
and be seen” and the holidays are no
exception. The decorations are beautiful
during the holidays. Hop on the bus
and head down to The Peabody Hotel.
We plan on being there in time for the
march of the Peabody Ducks followed
by lunch in the Capriccio Grill. Sign up
in transportation bus leaves at 9:45 am.

“Singing Christmas Tree”
On Sunday, December 13 the Kirby
Pines Bus will take residents to this
delightful program. 15 FREE tickets
are being provided by two generous
residents. Theses tickets will be available
to the first 15 people that sign up in
transportation. If you do not get a
free ticket, you can call the box office
at 347-5500 to purchase. Sign up in
transportation bus leaves at 2:00 pm.

“Through the Bible is an intense study of
the Bible led by Gail Kommer, meeting

Starry Nights is a Mid –South tradition.
More than 1.5 million lights illuminate
the night sky in the largest holiday light
show in the city. Bus leaves at 6:00 pm.
