Shuffleboard in the
Performing Arts Center
Shuffle on up to the PAC and have some
fun playing shuffleboard! Relieve stress
by getting your mind off of things, so-
cialize and engage in some friendly
competition. Shuffleboard will be held
every Wednesday at 10:00 am and ev-
ery Saturday at 4:00 pm in the PAC.

Virtual Wii
Bowling
Come join the fun every Wednesday af-
ternoon at 2:00 pm in the Large Card
Room. No skill required. It is set up on
the TV; all you have to do is check out
the remotes from the Front Desk and re-
turn them whenever your game is over.

Poetry Group
Come to listen; come to read; come to
recite from memory. Share a favorite
verse or two as others share their verse
with you. Everyone is welcome. Check
out “The Poet’s Corner” on the post of-
fice bulletin board where a residential
poet will be featured each month. The
group meets in the Ante Room every
first Monday at 10:00 am.

Discussion Group
Come learn about and discuss the Bi-
ble with this Interdenominational group
every Monday night at 6:30 pm in the
Chapel.
Advanced Water Aerobics classes will
be held on Monday and Wednesday at
8:30 am. Basic and Beginning Water
Aerobics on Tuesday and Thursday at
9:30 am. Arthritis Sit/Stand classes will
be held on Tuesday and Thursday at
11:00 am in the Large Card Room.

singer Swain Schaeffer will be in the

Part I
In the immediate aftermath of the attack
on Pearl Harbor, Captain Victor ‘Pug’
Henry finds himself in command of a
cruiser, the USS Northampton. His son
Warren is a naval aviator on the USS
Enterprise and son Byron continues
his service on a submarine, the USS
Swordfish. Pug’s wife Rhoda continues
her affair with Palmer Kirby and By-
ron’s wife Natalie has a difficult deci-
sion to make. Pamela Tudsbury and her
father start a world tour where he will
report for the BBC from the far reaches
of the British Empire. Will be shown at
2:00 & 7:30 pm in the Movie Theater.

medium, join our weekly art class, for
guidance or community with your fel-
low Kirby Artists. The Art with Class
art class meets every Friday morning at
10:00 am in the Arts & Crafts Room.

War & Rememberance:
Part II
It’s early 1942 and Pug Henry is still in
command of the USS Northampton.Pa-
mela Tudsbury and her father find them-
selves in Singapore. Nathalie Henry and
her uncle Aaron decided to stay in Italy.
They have been hoping to get exit visas
allowing them to travel to Switzerland
but these have consistently been de-
layed. Nathalie’s friend and onetime fi-
ancé Leslie Slote is now assigned to the
US Legation in Bern and he comes into
information on the German atrocities
taking place in Eastern Europe. Heinrich
Himmler, the head of the SS, visits Aus-
chwitz and is given a demonstration of
its capabilities. Will be shown at 2:00 &
7:00 pm in the Movie Theater.

Tai Chi
If you’re looking for a way to reduce
stress, consider tai chi (TIE-CHEE).
Originally developed for self-defense,
tai chi has evolved into a graceful form
of exercise that’s now used for stress
reduction and a variety of other health
conditions. Under the instruction of
Sheila Raye, Tai Chi meets in the Large
Card Room every Monday at 2:00 pm.

am for a special presentation about
Acupuncture by Dr. Lupo T. Carlota.
This easy-to-understand talk on acu-
puncture briefly covers what acupunc-
ture can do for your health, wellbeing,
and longevity. Presented by a medical
doctor acupuncture specialist, you will
learn why MRA (Meridian Regulatory
Acupuncture) an advanced scientifical-
ly-based system of acupuncture works
effectively and safely against chronic
pain and disease, such as, lower back
pain, migraine, trigeminal neuralgia, fi-
bromyalgia, arthritic pain, carpal tunnel
syndrome, sports pain injury, ADHD,
autism, alzheimer’s disease, Parkin-
son’s, multiple sclerosis, asthma, aller-
gy, stroke, psychiatric and stress-related
disorders —including many other con-
ditions that are largely unresponsive to
conventional medicine. There will be a
question and answer session for the au-
dience after the presentation.
