been found; he died duringHitler’s “Beer
Hall Putsch”. She inherits the publishing
company, takes the drastic action of re-
moving her daughter from the Drewes
and Leaving Downton. The police visit
again, in response to an anonymous let-
ter, and interview Miss Baxter: forced
by a threat to be returned to prison, she
admits her suspicions about Bates and
Green but says that she cannot swear to

“The Torch Passes”
The Torch Passes, traces Beethoven’s
symphonic legacy through Brahms and
Mendelssohn. Music includes Brahms
extraordinary Piano Concerto No. 1,
which marks the return to IRIS of the
incomparable pianist Yefim Bronfman
one of the great artists of our time. Men-
delssohn’s beloved Fourth Symphony,
“Italian” harkens back to the early clas-
sism of Beethoven’s first two sympho-
nies. And we end with the humanism of
Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, written
to accompany Geothe’s drama.Tickets
