ON THE PINECONE COVER

Happy Easter! Peter Cottontail has

certainly been busy around Kirby

Pines this year. The early timing of

Easter this year has not stopped him

from ensuring that spring flowers are in

bloom throughout the community. Our

annual Easter Egg Hunt should be filled

with the laughter and excitement of

grandchildren, great grandchildren and

even a few great, great grandchildren

as they collect the hidden treasures

Peter has left for them. Hopefully, you

have helped him along the way by

dyeing a few Easter eggs yourself.

Not to be out-done by the Easter

Bunny, our culinary team is planning

a wonderful Easter Brunch. Of course,

your family and friends are welcome

to join you for Easter brunch. Simply

call Victor Hamilton to make a

reservation. I am sure they’ll enjoy

the food and company. Who knows,

Hoppin’ Down the Bunny Trai l

a t K i r b y P i n e s

Peter Cottontail may even leave them a

hidden surprise to remind your guests

of how special Kirby Pines truly is to

everyone.

Now is the time to don your Easter

bonnet, put on your best duds, and

enjoy the sunshine and spring flowers

around the community. Just be sure to

watch out for Peter Cottontail as you

go about your business. After all, you

don’t want to startle him or he might

not leave you that special chocolate

egg. Happy Easter!

Executive

Director,

Kirby Pines

A special thanks goes out this month

to our adventurous residents, who

were willing to suit up and squeeze

into the passenger seat of a NASCAR

Nationwide and Cup Style racecar and

take a few spins around the track.

The front cover features new residents,

Jim and Shirley Anderson, and on

the back is, resident, Pat Watson. All

three, as well as resident, Glenn Wall,

traveled at speeds up to 121 miles

per hour for 3 laps at the Memphis

International Raceway on their 3/4

mile oval track in Millington.

Everyone who came out had a great

time! (See additional story on page 8)
