Kirby Pines Library

Book Sale

Don’t let these bargains pass you by.

Kirby Pines Library will be holding a

book sale in the Estates Lobby Sun-

room. Hard back books will be $1.00

and paperbacks 25 cents. Sale starts at

9:30am on Thursday and again on Fri-

day the 10th. Remember the early bird

gets the worm!!

Tea and Tour

Explore the Civil Rights Movement

through the work of nine activist pho-

tographers, this exhibition dynamically

documents the national struggle against

segregation and other forms of race-

based disenfranchisement. It compris-

es 157 black-and-white image by Bob

Adelman, George Ballis, Bob Fitch, Bob

Fletcerh, Matt Herron, David Prince,

Herbert Randall, Mari Verela, and Ta-

mio Wakayama and offers a remark-

able, moving view of this cruciall period

in American History. Enjoy wonderful

treats in The Brushmark after the tour.

Alabama sing their way thru Memphis

as they travel the country. Come be en-

Legal Clinic

Martha Ann Crowder, a student attor-

ney in the Elder Health Law Advocacy

Clinic at The University of Memphis

School of Law, will be giving a presenta-

tion about legal issues involving health

laws that affect elderly people. The pre-

sentation focuses on decision-making

tools for the future, including power of

attorney for health care and power of

attorney for finances. Wednesday, April

15 at 1:00pm in LCR.
