Book Discussion

Group

Whether you read or would like to hear

about books being discussed, come and

check it out. This is a great way to ex-

pand your horizons. Tuesday April 28 at

2:00pm inThe Ante Room. This month’s

book is by Gary Cook. Gary will be

joining us to talk about experiences in

his career that were the springboard for

the storyline in “Chance of Rain” Please

note the time change to 2:00pm, to ac-

commodate the author’s schedule.

Circle Meeting “The Uplifters”

The Uplifters Circle is a nondenomi-

national group of women dedicated to

missions, prayer and Bible study led

by Elsie Huffard. All are welcome, just

The Crawleys go to a shooting party at

a castle in Northumberland and return

Are In the Air

Enjoy an evening of sweet music by en-

sembles of the Memphis Symphony or-

chestra. Followed by tantalizing treats

and champagne from Kirby Pines gour-

met chef Tim McNeil. Suggested mini-

mum donation $20 per person. The first

62 people that donate $100 or more will

be treated to a special night of exquisite

cuisine at Kirby Pines. All proceeds go

to Memphis Symphony Orchestra. Be-

gins at 6:30pm in the PAC.

ment Support Group to serve people in

gaining perspective about their losses

and support them in regaining a healthy

quality of life. The group meets the 3rd

Monday of every month at 10:00 am in

IMAX: Kilimanjaro

In this spectacular program, join a di-

verse group of trekkers -- demonstrating

courage as well as endurance -- when

they journey to the top of Mt. Kiliman-

jaro -- the world’s highest free-standing

mountain at 19,340 feet above sea level.

As the climbers pass through Africa’s

beautiful, very rugged terrain and ex-

treme conditions (five climate zones!),

their expedition becomes an adventure

Kirby Traveler’s

Group Outing

“Cotton Museum and Lunch @The Ma-

jestic Grille. Spring has sprung. Go out

and have some fun with your friends and

neighbors and see the sights. This trip

will take you down Riverside and to the

historic Cotton Museum. After the tour

you will see some of the sights of Main

Street as you walk into the wonderful

Majestic Grille. The cost for the tour and

the bus is $9.00, which can be paid ahead

of time at the meeting or in the Lobby

before you leave. Call Pat Watson if you

have any questions or want to sign up.

The bus will leave at 10:00am.
